I agree with the thoughts of the article. I have always and really mean always supported Rivet. As I'm sure you have by starting this thread. Nice one. But it is some what sickening due to the fact that for a long time, I saw nothing but bashing of Rivet from everyone on this site. It sucks that most poeple need to read an article like this to jump on a wagon. They can't come up with a postive thought on a player(rivet) based on they're own observations......They need to be completed by some shmuck journalists thoughts. Anyways good to see and well deserved........... Go Rivet GO!!!!!!!!

I think Gainey is going to go hard for Selanne. Knowing he has great chemistry with your captain, that is struggling because he doesn't have linemates that suit him. I will be really suprised if it doesn't happen. For all we know before Saku signed his contract, he may have told Gainey to bring Selanne over or he would test free agency this year. Iknow, I know ....Selanne said he didn't like the weather in Montreal.....but the Olympics may have changed that, aswell as a decent hockey club in the making. How do you know that was a losing islander pic? I saw a few of them when he started getting all the shut-outs. I thought this is great....he's always so devastated when someone scores on him. Don't look too far into it. This is the right thing to do money wise. The season needs to end to bargain with anyone or anything, it's just to messed up right now for both sides. This is a great situation to be in. We have a great goaltender. As far as Tsn goes. When Huet started doing well, they were quick to tell us he's slow moving side to side, and didn't play the puck well....bla....bla.bla........................ now he's leaving Montreal for the big contract somewhere else...... It will all get done in professional fashion with Gainey, and none of this will mean anything.....

Because it's so evenly spread....I want ottawa too. I'll actually take any off them. Carolina is the only one that is a little scary......but like you said Kaos ....bring it on and let's see who's standing after the first round. With Huet playing the way he is, and how his confidence has spread through the team....I think we can surprise a lot of people and teams this year. We are not the same hockey club we were a few months ago.

I don't care if it was an All star loaded flyer team. They CHOKE. They are known as CHOKERS. No matter how good they are, it's hard to shake that monkey off your back. They prove it year after year after year.

I think they do for sure. Mostly when they are doing well. When they are slumping, I'm sure they stay away because who wants to read about how much they suck. Also, I think more reading of forums comes from the younger guys, rookies, guys just starting to make a name for themselves I doubt Yzerman, Koivu, Kovalev,etc do.........but Hainsey, Komi, Higgins, Ovechkin in the russian forums....for sure.....

All the teams we are fighting are playing well. I think these next 4 games I'll be rooting for Tampa....that way if we keep winning Atlanta falls. Friggin Jersey.....with Buffalo slumping and they're OT win over the Sens, next week is looking good for them to jump ahead in the race. Same with Tampa, they are playing pretty good..... F#$%K.........Habs need to keep winning, we could still get screwed.......

After seeing that.........only if we win the cup should Huet get any recognition, because you all know what premature awards will do to someone. If Huet is not recognized for a stellar season he will keep trying to be better and that is what we want.......... I do have to admit though.....Huet will be good for a while.......Just watching him......He is so calm....extreme vision of the play and puck. Gifted kid, I'm just so suprised it took him so long. He is the real deal. I'm sure of it. When he does slump let's go easy on him............

With 30 teams in the NHL and salary cap issues, it's going to get harder and harder to stock teams with 24 super stars.......guys like begin, murray, boullion are going to be what makes the difference between a good team and a great team. The reserve players are going to play important roles more then ever. For that reason alone I wouldn't want to lose The Cube. If you really wanted to know what his value is.....just imagine , for some reason he was put on waivers today..........how long do you think he would last before getting picked up?
