  1. Hmmmm... he has been in 16 games, has taken STUPID penalties that hurt the team and has only 3 points. Oh dont forget a -5 and scores on 3% of his shots. Did you watch his last shot on goal? From the blue line he sort of flipped it toward the net. WOW!!!! Welcome to the board Remonatrix, I know you want to see him do well with the Habs like we all would. However his number is up with Montreal as he is not as good as the rookies.
  2. Dags only has this year left on his contract? Just curious as there is no way I can see them offering him anything next year. The new NHL passed him by along with many others. Too many guys hanging on. I think Steve Yzerman should retire as the new NHL has passed him by too. He is complaining the new NHL stinks. Sorry Steve, like many other slow players the only smell that is around is that of your hockey playing.
  3. Gang, I believe this is the game Montreal turns their misfortunes around. Yes it will be another 1 goal game but it will be exciting and some hitting will be going on. The way they played last game was good and bad as many here have stated. With so many lame shots on goal last game, I bet Julien got the boys to practice shooting at the corners of the net. I have faith that we will be discussing VICTORY in this thread tomorrow night. GO HABS GO!
  4. hahahahaha I forgot about this quote at JR: "I can't hear what he's saying," Roy said during a press conference. "My Stanley Cup rings are blocking my ears." This was a good read......
  5. WoW! This is all I can say about the members of this board. Of course we are all armchair GM's but it is refreshing to see suggestions that actually makes sense. KUDOs to the contributers here.:clap:
  6. Don't Leaf fans have Gane signed already for next year, along with Rob Blake, Joe Sakic and ... and .... and...
  7. hahahahaha You guys RULE. Some of the jokes are old but funny. How did I miss this thread earlier?????:ghg:
  8.:clap: Thank you for noticing the bias in the telecast. I thought it was just me so I gave my head a shake and no they were drooling over their Argos. CBC sucks in hockey and football. TSN really has them beat with CFL telecasts.
  9. I am going to be interested to see after the Grey Cup what Hamilton gets from Edmonton for Troy Davis. I know they got a first round draft pick but Edmonton wants it back because tehy have Ray at QB. I bet Jason Maas will be a TICAT next year...
  10. You said it! And 3 posts and a crossbar. At least 8 good shots that completely missed the net. And to top it off Bulis was in on net so many times and could not score. Bulis is DUE for a breakout game, he is our most consistant forward at checking and trying every night and cannot score. I have to agree with the quality of shots. If you take shots at a goalies midsection there is a good chance he will stop it. I expect the offensive part will be worked out for next game. Hope Komisarek is back! 11. OOOPs... When I read your post I thought this was a prediction. I forgot the playoff game score last week..... Maybe CBC will stop talking about the Argos now, in their telecast you never knew who the other team was. I don't mind the Argos though, very talented team and Coach Pinball is one of my all time favorite sports figures...
  12. Bulis_the_Habbie, you really nailed this one. I cannot believe how close your prediction was! Good job.... 33 - 17 final for the Als.. Argos SUCK. Watched the Als, then Concordes then Baltimore then Als again since 1970 season. Go ALS!!!!
  13. What's Marchant's option's now? Sit back and collect that big fat cheque! Must be nice....
  14. Unfortunately there would be a team take the chance at grabbing him. With only having to pick up half the salary, some teams might want to gamble that this former first round draft pick would look good in their uniform. I cannot see Montreal taking that chance.
  15. I don't think anyone on the board is in panic mode right now. This is reserved for Leaf fans who panic after one loss. What I think is that there is concern here on how the team is losing. Dumb penalties being the first thought, questionable goaltending in some games and sloppy defensive play. If these three issues could be addresed by the coaching staff and two could be eliminated quickly, then Montreal should be back winning consistantly again. If B.G. makes a trade it would probably be a trade to shore up the second line. It does not look like too many guys on Montreal want to be on the second line. The way Bulis is playing, maybe he should be put up there with Perizhogin and Ribero. I am patient person but fine tuning the team is always good to help players that are struggling.
  16. Bring Komi back. It cannot get worse....
  17.:clap: I celebrate the fact the team continues to play in Montreal and did not have to move like Quebec, Winnipeg, Hartford. I also celebrate the fact that Montreal will win another cup as Bob Gainey will make teh changes needed to be successful. I am also glad the team started out so strong as every point is needed to secure a good playoff spot. Toronto is slowly creeping back close to our team and the early wins are helping right now. Montreal will have a good year, and I will enjoy watching them!
  18. hehehehe there's a lynch mob here for Theo's head. At least everyone realizes that he is injured and has problems with rebounds. I think the Streit and Souray lynching will take place next game if they don't shape up. The Habs just stunk last night. Having said this, they did show signs of life near the end of the second period and the start of the third period. This was a team loss and I have high hopes that the Thrasher game will be a team win. All that needs to be done is better defence to limit the other teams chances. Too many times in the last two weeks guys have been able to skate into the Montreal goalies. I hate pointing one guy out but Streit has to learn not to shoot the puck up the centre of the ice from behind the net. This really surprised me as he has played hockey for a while now and that is in-excuseable. Also I will point out Souray as if he is not going to put a full game effort in then they should bench him. This is happening too many times in the last few games where Sheldon just does not think about what he has to do. The Habs have quite a bit of talent on the forward lines and should be able to figure out how to score again. I do not see this as a continuing problem. I do believe Ribero has to get his game in gear and start either scoring or setting up Ryder. We need a second line scoring. One good thing Montreal has going is Bulis; now if he could only learn to score. This guy is always trying which I hope can be contagious for the rest of the team.
  19. I'm outta here too. We will win the next game against Atlanta. GO HABS GO!
  20. http://www.canadiens.com/eng/calendar/redi...absCalendar.cfm Thrashers tuesday the 22nd...
  21. BOOOOOOOOO! HAving said this, lets regroup and take on the Thrashers Tuesday. I believe it cannot get any worse than this....
  22. It was summed up earlier by our friend Mr. Habbie. Montreal hit a few posts, crossbar missed the net too many times to count. Also defensive play just SUCKS. Souray and Streit just SUCKED tonight. Summary: The team played like CRAP! Bulis looked good though....
  23. HE did, he passed the puck in front of Theo and Washington scored. That is inexcusable!!!!!!!!!!! Looked to me like blown coverage and the pass came from the Caps player. Anyway, Streit might never play again for us. But if he keeps playing like that then it's for the best. It will be on the replay. RDS has a great replay it was Streit.....
  24. I feel your pain but watching Hainsey play a couple of games in Hamilton he only plays when he wants to. Oh the pain.......
