  1. I have a downloaded copy with a Word file of important sections that I reference regularly.
  2. I don't have the CBA in front of me (I'll check when I get home) but I was always under the interpretation that there are two defined windows - one in June (regular), one when the arbitration periods are (compliance). The 7 day window sounds familiar but that may be the length of the window as of a specific date. As I said, I'll take a look when I get home to find out for sure, even if it is moot since the buyout isn't happening.
  3. Yeah, the buyout window is closed for that matter (until later in August at least, I'm sure it will rear its head again then...)
  4. You got the opposite, it's a pretty back loaded deal. (5.5, 5.75, 6.75, then 3 years of 7)
  5. I haven't put this on the contracts page yet but Blunden's deal is $575/$105k.
  6. I have an article ready to go on the site today about it, the cap situation isn't all that pretty. That changes if they've decided to bury Gomez but all indications from yesterday suggest otherwise.
  7. Olli Jokinen to Winnipeg, 2 years, $9 million.
  8. Derek Roy to Dallas for Steve Ott and Adam Pardy. Buffalo's starting to add some grit (they signed John Scott yesterday).
  9. To me, indefinite makes more sense then moving it another hour or so at a time. If it's a negotiation, things can change at an instant. A player who says they'll decide by 4:30 PM (leading to a 5 PM presser in this hypothetical) could easily receive a last minute offer/revision that changes the time frame. Let whatever it is play out its course and then tell us what it is. And 'whatever it is' turns out to be a 6 year deal for Price.
  10. Sure, things can change. Postpone it indefinitely then, wait until it's done (or not happening), then call it. It's not a matter of impatience (at least to me), that just feels like the polite and proper thing to do, to the media, the fans, plus the agent(s) and/or team(s) involved in whatever it is that may or may not be going on.
  11. If so, why call it in the first place? Wait until it's done, then call it. I agree that something is likely being discussed but this is a weird way to go about things.
  12. The presser is now at 4:30 apparently. Also, Jiri Hudler to Calgary, 4 years and $16 million. Steep price there...
  13. Looks like Jagr is most definitely a no-go.
  14. Bergevin has once again supposedly delayed his planned press conference leading to all sorts of rumblings something might be up. (Okay, this isn't really a rumour but it suggests something could be happening...)
  15. Raffi Torres gets a 4 game reduction in his 25 game suspension (he now has to sit 8 more games instead of 12).
  16. I made a quick note on the cap last night. I plan to do something more detailed on the site, I'm just waiting a bit to see if anything else is in the pipeline. Note that the contract situation has Leblanc in the AHL as with the current depth on the wing I can't see him starting in Montreal.
  17. The Habs have just confirmed the signing (it took them until last night for Prust while Armstrong's still isn't officially signed).
  18. Here's the write-up on them: http://www.habsworld.net/article.php?id=2854 (That's 4 articles for me today, save some for tomorrow, Bergevin...)
  19. Some depth for the Bulldogs, both players are on TW contracts.
  20. Montreal's season kicks off tonight, been waiting a long time for this...I just wish they didn't play on Free Agency day. The Habs better not do anything until tomorrow now...
  21. Mikael Samuelsson to the Wings, don't know the terms yet but I think he's a good under-the-radar pickup. Edit: $3 M per with a full NTC, not so under-the-radar now... Also didn't see it mentioned but Nick Foligno was dealt for Marc Methot today, solid deal for the Sens to replace Kuba. Columbus needed to shed a bit of payroll off their blueline, Foligno is a decent pickup for them to help up front.
  22. For fans (like me) who think this is too high, keep in mind there's a chance that a new CBA with a reduced cap could carry a small rollback as well. A 10% rollback would make the cap hit $2.25 M which is a little easier to swallow.
  23. There goes Bryan Allen - 3 years, $3.5 M per to the Ducks.
  24. Still excited? Also, Sami Salo to Tampa, 2 years and $7.5 million, Jay McClement to Toronto, 2 years, $3 M total. Good deal for Toronto.
