  1. Palushaj looked horrible? I thought he was one of the few forwards who got things going in the offensive zone on a regular basis. He and Leblanc made for a decent 4th line duo that probably should've played more at least in my opinion. Today marked franchise history as well. This was apparently the first time the Habs' opponents were awarded two penalty shots in the same game.
  2. It's the second half of the back to back road series for the Bulldogs as they will be looking for a win to ensure they're not sitting dead last in the division at the end of the night. On the flip side, they could be 2 points out of 2nd with a win. Active scoring leaders: Goals: Andreas Engqvist (14) Assists: Garrett Stafford (18) Points: Engqvist/Willsie (26) PIMS: Zack FitzGerald (161) +/-: Andreas Engqvist (+6) Active scoring leaders: Goals: Jamie Johnson (16) Assists: Gustaf Nyquist (28) Points: Gustaf Nyquist (40) PIMS: Garnet Exelby (136) +/-: Doug Janik (+17) Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST and can be listened to by clicking this link: http://cham.player.amri.ca/
  3. He got the CBC 3rd Star, not the official which was all Washington. Gill didn't play much in this game, 8:33 total (and he was at 8 something after the 2nd). Wonder if he'll get tomorrow's game off as they really do need to play Campoli a few in a row to give him a chance to raise his value. One game every three or four will only hurt him at this time.
  4. That line hasn't been half bad, I hope knowing that they have an early game tomorrow as well that Cunneyworth keeps rolling 4 lines for most of the period.
  5. Hey Justin, long time no see. Hope things are well.
  6. You bring up an interesting point there. If Calgary does fall down the standings, they may very well try and flip him. If they do, it will be worthwhile to note the return as presumably they would do a better job of shopping him.
  7. At least Budaj is keeping it interesting. Not only has he had a pretty good game in terms of stopping the puck but with the stick throw and two giveaways, there are some anxious moments out there for sure. Palushaj now has 5 shot attempts in just under 6 minutes, I think he's trying to get his first finally out of the way.
  8. I'm sorry, me and my bunch? I'm my own person and I've strayed away from commenting on most of the threads you've posted in so I'm not sure where you get off lumping me in with anybody. Do yourself a favour, stop looping everyone that disagrees with you as part of 'a bunch.' Also, nothing in my previous post said anything about Gauthier, just that on any team, the 15th/16th forward callup isn't going to be all that good. That's not in defence of or bashing anyone, that's just the way things are.
  9. Palushaj has the second most shots for the Habs. That's a telling sign the offence hasn't been good so far.
  10. The Habs started off alright but Washington picked it up towards the end of the period. Kostitsyn with Plekanec and Bourque didn't look too good, I was hoping that combo could be a second line spark. It's early though, still in it for sure.
  11. Game over, Bulldogs take it 5-2 and move into 3rd place in the North Division. They'll face off again tomorrow. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1009309
  12. Janik (shorthanded) beats Lawson up high to make it 5-2. They have the same (terrible) goal song as the Bulldogs.
  13. Also, hint hint, someone needs to do tomorrow's GDT...
  14. Henry jumps out of the box and gets a breakaway. He didn't score but that still may very well be his offensive highlight of the last 3 months.
  15. Games against Toronto aside, their attendance has been worse than last year even with his presence meaning something stupid will probably happen.
  16. Lefebvre scores to make it 5-1! That's his first point 9, first goal in 11.
  17. In the 4-on-4 stemming from the above (FitzGerald got 5, Exelby 2), Schultz scores to make it 4-1! That's his first goal in 15 games.
  18. FitzGerald tries to spear Exelby, gets tossed and now needs Henry and a linesman to hold him back from chasing down the ref. Here's hoping the Habs pick up an extra AHL D or two in their deadline dealings (either NHL or AHL-based) so they can just get rid of him already.
  19. Willsie scores to make it 2-1...and now Engqvist makes it 3-1! Both PPG's (and Fortier's was as well).
  20. Avtsin is back in the lineup, glad to see someone's back after they lost Leblanc and Palushaj to callups.
  21. This constant insulting/bashing of certain posters is getting old in a hurry. You've been told to knock it off several times and continue anyway. Consider this your final warning, it will not be tolerated further.
  22. The Bulldogs begin a crucial back-to-back road series tonight as they're in Grand Rapids to take on the Griffins. Hamilton trails Detroit's farm squad by one point for third in the division. Active scoring leaders: Goals: Andreas Engqvist (13) Assists: Garrett Stafford (18) Points: Brian Willsie (25) PIMS: Zack FitzGerald (146) +/-: Andreas Engqvist (+7) Active scoring leaders: Goals: Jamie Johnson (16) Assists: Gustaf Nyquist (28) Points: Gustaf Nyquist (40) PIMS: Garnet Exelby (130) +/-: Doug Janik (+16) Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST and can be listened to by clicking this link: http://cham.player.amri.ca/
  23. Seriously, you're now complaining about more injury callups? They only have so many viable options and when 5 of the top 13/14 forwards (Gionta, Moen, Nokelainen, White, and Blunden) are out of the lineup, the pickings no matter what are going to be slim.
  24. Gretzky was on Toronto radio today and noted he got all 3 Stars in his final game in Canada (in Ottawa I think he said). He figured he only had an assist that night.
  25. I think it's just a paper transaction there. They would have put it retroactive to the day after the injury occurred (which was before the ASB, was it not)? He only needs to be on for 7 days but they needed the roster spot with the uncertainty surrounding Blunden and his injury from last night. This should affect his return timeline in any way, he's eligible to be activated at any time.
