My hatred for the leafs is based on the cockyness of their ignorant fans, and also on the 'canadian' media that puts 99% of their focus on the leafs. My hatred also comes from the Pat Quinn era in Toronto. From his constant bitching to league officials and complaints about the refs, when his team, led by Tie Dummy, Darcy *ucker, Travis Green, and Bryan McCabe, happen to be some of the dirtiest players in the league. You can also attribute some of the roots to inheritance. My father was a leaf hater, and I am a leaf hater as a result. And I can guaranty you that my sons and daughters will be leaf haters as well!

Ottawa backed out of the tournament this year. The reason given was that they didn't have enough prospects to field a team. They said they'd be back next year. Not sure if I read this in the Gazette or on RDS.ca, but one of the two had it...

He sounds like he was flying offensively, but how was Grabovsky in his own end? Was he hitting, and covering his man? With Carbonneau behind the bench, you can bet that the more defensively responsible prospect will get the chance to start the season in Montreal.

I think he would have been a better player had he not received so much money at such a young age. Imagine being 18, and receiving millions of dollars. You're basically a celebrity going out in downtown Montreal... Drugs killed his game.

Have there been any rumors about Aebischer being dealt? If he's not, and we want Danis to play for the dogs, would he have to clear waivers? If so, how likely do you think it'd be that we carry 3 goalies into the start of the season until one of them is dealt?

Seeing what Ovechkin is doing in Washington, if Malkin can hook up with the same PR coaches, learn some english, learn some media lessons from Kovalev, and live up to his potential (which I think he will), then I strongly believe that he'll be a superstar in the NHL for years to come!
