  1. The fact that your $600k Darche is playing better than the rest of your top 6 players is what we should all be thinking about. And not that Darche is undervalued and should be paid $3mil a year! NO NO he is worth $600k its the rest of our team that doesnt deserve their salary!! Its regarding an ANEMIC TEAM that can't turn around a game. its called GUTS! DONT GIVE UP, CURSING and RALLYING YOUR TROOPS!
  2. not entirely, as you mentioned they need one player from each team, But not exclusive to the vets taking that spot, those teams that really sucked (with having one player on the main rosters) had better leverage in getting a rookie invited, in other words had Price not made it PK Subban was in for sure
  3. the positive aspect of this seemingly mismanagement of our assets, is that in the near future, Teams will be more likely to trade with us hoping we trade them some more undervalued players. Making us higher valued trading partners when the need requires it.
  4. MAB have some incriminating pics of Guy Boucher?
  5. This is a good topic, it will divide us but will entertain us as well! Gill is IMO and probably your opinion too, Better than Spacek. GILL is one reason (mainly Price) that we dont suck in PK department. Yes I agree he is older and slower, but unless we get more top 4 Dmen before the end of the season then we have no choice but to resign him for another year. PG will not and cannot overpay again for UFA Dmen on July 1st. For the sake of arguing, say we get another Dman before the last trade deadline Markov - Wis UFA - PK Gorges - Spacek Weber/Carle 7th it seems ok. but OH wait SPACEK is still there, I for one don't think we can have Both Weber and Carle in the line-up next year, perhaps if a tall guy like A Henry learns to kill penalties like then maybe we can save another mil by not signing Gill (according to your reasoning)
  6. I met a man the other night who claims to have played with Bruce Boudreau back in his early years He now coaches youngsters on his time off... This fella is not the tallest dude out there but built like a fridge... actually reminds me of Bruce Boudreau as a matter of fact. Anywho, he tells me that when it comes to selecting players and making cuts he starts like this... You tall kids, come this way your automatically in, the rest of you 3 footers go and fight and kill yourselves to make the team. Its a sad reality but it shows you why you can count on these small ones to have guts determination and most of all MOTIVATION this sport like anything else glorious in life starts up there in the nut. I for one am totally into getting all these small chip on yer shoulders midgets! lol
  7. Poor Picard But you have to know that a D man either takes the puck away or he takes his man out (penalty or cleanly) cleanly is when you become a top 4 D man if you can't do either and get scored on your not ready for NHL time
  8. I for one am happy that no other player got chosen, with a team hurting and injured like we are...those holiday days will be more than welcome Just hope Pricey doesnt go over board showcasing himself
  9. Pouliot will be plan B if Eller doesnt perform after the 3rd - 5th shift. 85% chance I see that happening Hopefully the fact that Desharnais is supposed to play more relaxed tomorrow will coincide with ELLER showing....showing, what is it that he can to that well?
  10. Not until we get Habs reality tv show... lol On a serious note... Boyd is still scoring back in hamilton without Deshy
  11. Whats up with M Commodore? why is he sent to the A league?
  12. ha thats cute! Whats the problem with PK and WIZ together habs29? they both are right shot players in a world with a shortage of US right shot masters, you shouldnt use them in one line unles u have more than 4 dressed HA!! reporters asked Gomez what Chara was telling him while they were add it Gomez said... "he asked me what's a good place to go eat, and I said ...well you know its Saturday lots of places are open.. LOL
  13. according to rds it seems cammi has a groin injury Weber, Picard and Spacek shouldnt play next game... but what can we do.... weber will no doubt dress next game, as well as Spacek
  14. Finally some good news... Picard hurt his hand ona shot from Chara Also Cammi is out for the game
  15. FFSake Spacek with lousy lazy bat swings.. and what is Picard doing kneeling on a puck 10 feet off the crease! PG, points are too important to wait for this D to learn how to play... Move PG move!
  16. come on guys aim at thomas' neck! that open vulnerable part
  17. That last scene speaks for itself Kostitsyn makes a good move shoots and then goes to the bench... pouliot looks at him says nothing, kosty sits crouches over in an isolated pose
  18. Ahhh.... just looked him up... he was a 2010 draft pick... pretty decent numbers in the QJHL these past two seasons!
  19. my memory fails, but did we not pick up a pick in the O'byrn trade?
  20. Great look! Is it me,... but I cant find a (go to top) button.
  21. Ahhh Eller Eller... Yes Ellie should be there on 3rd, and Darche on 4th or wherever JM wants to put him Pyatt sits only if we can reduce the number of stupid penalties, if we are still playing 10 min a game short handed JM will have to play Pyatt
  22. The habs are to speak with Gill's agent shortly, Markov should recup and sign (unless Ovechkin tells him to come to Washington) and if Gorges recovers he is sure to stay. Best case scenario with what we got.. Marky - Wiz (UFA/trade or *)- PK Gill - Gorges 7th: Weber * 1)If we can't trade Spacek or 2)Picard or someone else from Hamilton has a breakthrough season with the Habst... Then that's who will be playing with PK lol forgot to add that Wiz has to sign tooo... geezzz Idealy though it should be Markov ($4-5Mil)- UFA/Trade, who can play 25+ min just like markov ($5mil plus) [25 min pair] Gorges (4$) - Wiz (4$) [20 min pair] Gill ($1.5) - PK ($900k) [15 min pair] 7th Whomever is best of rooks
  23. The reliability of the game stats has always ponders my mind... I for one was sure the Pens had blocked more shots than the habs (Pens 20 blocked shots where the Habs had 21) http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreports/20102011/ES020600.HTM ... I guess i will look at this in another way... the pens blocked approximately 50% of the habs shots, while the habs only blocked 40% of the opponents shots... Yeap lets give the Pens D credit
