  1. Great post, hardly fair to compare our young guys to Crosby. There's about 500 or more veterens that aren't scoring at the pace he is.
  2. I totally agree, Brodeur has proven on more than one occassion he is a big game goalie:ghg:
  3. I believe you only get a minor for delay of game. Sakus' stick isn't illegal to begin with, next time they show a close up of him taking the face off you'll see it has very little curve in it.
  4. That's not a bad idea, worth a try IMO Ryder-Koivu-Bulis? Did you see what Bulis did on Koivu's breakaway? He had the opportunity to prevent Kovalchuk from backchecking, and Saku could have gone in uncontested. Instead, he stopped skating at the blueline, and then when Koivu was forced to drop the puck to him, he couldn't control it. That's not a first line player. Put him back on the checking line where he contributes. To prevent a player from backchecking, would that not be called interference. In defence of Bulis as far as not skating how did he end up in front of the net so as to take the pass and if I remember correctly the pass was kind of behind him or in his feet, can't really remember which.
  5. That's not a bad idea, worth a try IMO
  6. If you don't want a discussion then you shouldn't make comments like you do. So, you don't like Crosby, that is your business but don't make up things about him. I'm willing to bet if he played for the Habs you would love him
  7. The refereeing was absolutely brutal. Don't get me wrong I normally like the way the games are being called but last night was ridiculous, there were too many phantom calls and the diving was rampant, I've never seen so many 200 lb men fall down so easily, they really have to get a grip on this and start calling the dives. Great to see Theo steal one though:hlogo:
  8. Reading this thread is a breath of fresh air, I was just on another Habs board and the lynch mob is out, I think they even want to trade Youpii. Nice to see the voice of reason on here. Everyone seems in agreement that these types of games happen and all you can do is learn from them and move on:ghg: [Edited on 2005/11/20 by olematelot]
  9. Overall a very poor defensive effort. All night in our end they handled the puck like it was a grenade, nobody wanted it. Too soft, nobody took the man. Theo was fighting the puck all night, but I wouldn't put the blame on him for any goal, he never got any help. It's hard to win when you only show up for one period. I think I'd rather eat mud than loose to the Devils. Lets take it out on Washington tomorrow:ghg:
  10. Beauty, Saku made Mhalakov look foolish [Edited on 2005/11/19 by olematelot]
  11. Kozlov went through him like Komi was a pee wee player
  12. Get some glasses, that is the first bad one. Might be the first BAD goal but his rebound control is BRUTAL, and he's responsible for half of the chances that NJ has had, b/c he should have caught/ covered the puck. I agree 100% He normally is ok on rebounds but tonight I think his groin injury is not allowing him to move quick enough. I blame the coach for starting him as this is not a good idea. He must have told the coach he was ok to go
  13. Tremblay was the worst by far, who can forget the way he treated Patrick. He IMO was the single most reason that Roy left town. I can't stand looking at the guy now.
  14. Here's to more of the same in the future:ghg::clap::clap::ghg:
  15. He's coaching the Manitoba Moose of the AHL after 2 seasons behind the bench for the PEI Rocket of the QMJHL
  16. Agree and because this team is so young they 're probably going to go through more ups and downs both individually and as a team than most other teams in the league, but if this season so far is any indication they seem to be fast learners.
  17. Yes, Colin needs our support. He sustained a hand injury and it is difficult for him to write at this time. I'm sure everyone at HW (collaborators and readers) wish him a full recovery. Colin's contribution to HW is really appreciated and gives the project a lot of credibility. Get well soon Colin!! :/) Feel free to give Colin more encouragements in this thread or to his email: c.prichett@habsworld.net Well I have been meaning to write and say how much I miss Colin's comments. They are always insightful and realistic. I hope his prognosis is better than Kovalev's. We certainly don't want to wait 4-8 weeks for the mailbag and the game by game player evaluations. Get well soon Colin. We all miss your contributions. Absolutely, everyday I come on here looking for ACFs comments and I'm disappointed when I find none. Hope thayt hands better soon Colin[Edited on 2005/11/17 by olematelot]
  18. There's a good article on Danis on TSNs website

  20. Was he not our leading point getter the last season that was played. I think that's pretty good proof that he has the ability to be a star on this team
  21. The puck was loose and Weiss made contact with it before he pushed Danis' pad, therefore it's a legal goal
  22. I don't know about everyone else, but I think we've had enough character building games. If we get any more character, we'll be in movies. As far as confidence, yes, this will boost it. Hopefully the lesson learned from this game is NOT that it's OK to give up a 3 goal lead. There is always room for character building games, they make you stronger when it all counts the most. As far as giving up a 3 goal lead goes, sure its not good but it's going to happen[Edited on 2005/11/16 by olematelot]
