lol Not big fan of Healy either. Does not mean he is wrong in everything he says though. On this one i happen to agree with the way he put it.. But I could quote Gretz if you prefer "there are three seasons, reg season, play offs, stanley cup finals......every one goes up another level" or PK Subban if you like "play offs is where we find out who is in shape and who is not" or Larry Robinson "some guys have what it takes to play at that level, some guy don't" Ryan Walter "play offs are played "inside" and some guys cant or wont play there" . Play offs are a whole different animal..........stands to reason that some players would play better than others during the toughest part of the journey. Talk about stating the obvious.

Some guys play better come play off time. Some guys the same. Some guys game goes south. Stats are not the only way too measure that. Some players style hold up better than other players for play off hockey. Some players just have more left in the tank at game 90 than others. As Glen Healy puts it, there are just some players that will stink in June. Period.

A coaches challenge, ......is on the coach.

In case that is a shot ! lol. I have publicly credited MT for 1. Chucky at center. 2 DD third line. 3 Not changing the lines every game. So as you see, when he does what I tell him to do. I give credit where credit is due. He's getting better. But the challenge was a bad one. Everyone at home, in the press box, video booth and watching on the big screen knew the refs got the call right. Coaches job to know it too. (when its that obvious) Putting it on the assistant? Come on.

Well said. Still if thats the case. Carrying one physical D and five "puck movers" . I want a better one than Gilbert. Perhaps a younger guy with more upside.
-
Oh for sure. You don't have to tell me that DD is more valuable not playing against the top line and top D. I have stated it so many times on here i used to get personal posts saying 'we heard you the first 100 times" I am not ruling out the possibility either. But that's all it is. Have seen to many play offs where his game went completely south.

I am a fan that's all about play offs too. So I see where H29 is coming from as far as the real measure being play off performance. But I do not agree that we should not pick him up (Iggy) because he did not help Boston and Pitt win a cup. However if you think Iggy sucked in play offs for the last three years, regular season be damned .............be interesting to hear what you think of our Canadiens forwards in that same 3 year time span?............without "giving a rats ass about regular season" that is. Has there been one any better than old Iggy has been ? Maybe he comes here just as the stars are aligning for long play off run ?? I'll defer to you buddy.

Yes but that's ok, he has you coming to his defense every single time. Move over Scotty Bowman

You are right about that. I like both players style over Gilberts.

"Lacroix talked him into it". Coach made sure everyone knew that. ha! The ego.

You may be right about that He wont be playing with DD that is for sure.
