But yeah, I find that lots of BCers cheer for the Leafs because the 'Nucks either weren't around or were just a fledgling team when they were younger and have stuck with them even after adopting Vancouver as a hometown team. Then all these Leaf fans had kids and now their kids are Leaf fans too.

Wow, that was a lot of defensemen, but I'm pretty happy with all of the picks, especially Subban. Interesting to see us take so many Americans.

Yeah, I've seen a bunch of his. I think Space Balls is probably my favourite. And I agree with Jets about space movies in general sucking ass.

Absolutely stoked about getting McDonagh, that was a great pick that really solidifies our backend for years to come. I was hoping for Cherepanov, but I'll definitely settle for Ryan. And for the record, I'm really happy we didn't get Espo. I don't think he would have succeeded here in Montreal, but I wish him all the best in Pittsburgh (except when he plays the Habs). As for Patches, if he can turn out, he'll be a great addition to the team. With gritty guys like Latendresse, Higgins, Chipchura, Lapierre and now Pacioretty, I can see us being a mean team like the '07 Cup-winning Ducks in a few years. B)

I'm kinda pissed, as I like Toskala and hate the idea of a Finn playing for the Leafs. That aside however, I don't think this is a very good deal for Toronto. I believe Toskala will be turning 30 this season, so he's no spring chicken. Once again, we see the Leafs trade youth for a quick fix. I can't wait to see this attempt fail just as miserably as every other one.

Well, I think there's a significant difference between "tying up the puck along the boards" and "the goalie freezing (covering up) the puck in the crease," but maybe that's just me. Man, I wish I had gone last year. Although the whole taking the ferry to Vancouver and then back again wasn't all that appealing. Is he Jewish?
