puck7x

Judging by the current HW poll, this series interests alot of people... So I might as well create a thread about it... Sens jumped out to an early 1-0 series lead tonight thanks to a dominating win in Toronto, Hossa scored 2 goals. Sens badly outshot the leafs.... Can the Sens finally knock the monkey (no not maggie the monkey, even though she did pick the leafs) and beat the leafs? sakiqc
I really want the Sens to win (but don't ask me why i picked up a Leafs player in the playoff pool;) lol) Hossa was awesome tonight. Sens have so much power on wings! Lalime had a bad year.. he's due for good playoffs! GO Sens! :puke: Leafs
Leafs Suck
Leaf fans are so pathetic... Anybody who lives in Toronto or near it will agree Game 1: They were clearly outplayed in every which way, yet the fans said "No big deal, it's only 1 game" Game 2: Toronto plays crappy again and but difference is better goaltending. So they flood into the streets as if they'd won the Stanley Cup. They've now written the Sens off even though it's only Game 2. They are the only team in the playoffs who's fans wet themselves every time they score a goal. This is the most even series of the playoffs. Maybe Leaf fans should look up the word "even" in the dictionary. It doesn't mean "After getting our butts kicked in Game 1, we won Game 2 so the series is over and all other teams are folding cause we're so good"... TheAussiePosse
Just a question to a few of you guys out there... I know the Leafs piss you off, and Leafs fans piss you off, but what would you rather have: -Pride for Montreal -Pride for Canada -Pride for the NHL We already have the 1st one. We talk about the 2nd a lot (those of us who are Canadian), and yet still do out best to talk down the other teams. And yet when an incident like Bertuzzi happens, we bond together as hockey fans, not just Montreal fans. I agree, rivalries are great, talking trash is a lot of fun, but with the looming CBA negotiations, and possibly more Bertuzzi/McSorley infractions occuring in the future, are you all ready to join together as one big happy hockey community, to tell the owners/NHLPA/league what we want in hockey? Or will you sit in your hometown, bickering with other provincial/state rivals about whose defense is worse? Just food for thought... Leafs Suck
Leaf fans aren't Canadian. THey only cheer for Toronto. They aren't hockey fans. They don't care when Canada plays. If they won, it wouldn't be "We won for Canada" it would be "We won".
rocketrichard
The Leafs Sens series is interesting but I want the Sens to win because if The Leafs win the Cup they can't brag like "Oh we won the Cup YAAAAAA" they can't do that because they didn't go through Montreal to get it. The only time that the Leafs can brag after winning a Cup is if they beat the Habs but that won't happen. For this series: GO SENS GO:/)
Fanpuck33_
Sens lead 2-1 in game four, Hossa and Alfredson. Go Sens, bring down the Leafs off their high hopes.
puck7x
Sens up 3-1 now in game-4 , looks like the series will be tied 2-2. In other news... Sundin left the game with a knee injury and has yet to return, add that to the fact that Newy isnt playing tonight either and that leaves the leafs without their top-2 centres... Leafs Suck
Nieuwendyk's injure, like Nolan's, sounds alot worse than TML is letting on.
Leafs Suck
Toronto relays on Belfour. If it wasn't for him, the series would be 3-1 Ottawa if not over. He has proven he cannot carry the team on his back, and with no Nolan, Nieuwendyk and Sundin. Leafs are done.
Quebecois
Good game by Ottawa tonight, they were actually able to beat Belfour and have the momentum heading back to Toronto. GO SENS! Beat the Leafs!
rocketrichard
Series tied at 2 a peice. We got all the momentum in the world heading back to Toronto. There's no stopping them now. GO SENS GO GO HABS GO :hlogo::hlogo:
Leafs Suck
Game 1 and 4 were perfect examples of how Ottawa can beat Toronto... Question remains if they can play like that twice over the next three games...
habsfan88
They know how to beat belfour......I say sens in 6.
Leafs Suck
If the Leafs fell in 6 it would be chaos in TO... Their would be panic... They'd be in the streets crying
rocketrichard
I think that if anyone lives in the Toronto area after they lose this series against the Sens get down to Toronto and where a Habs jersey just to piss off the Leafs fans!:hlogo:
Fanpuck33_
Wow, without Sundin the Leafs come out and shutout the Sens. I thought losing Sundin would kill the Laffs.
habsfan88
Damn.....okay, I guess my prediction won't work. My new one is Ottawa in 7.
Leafs Suck
Sens proved against in Game 5 they're choked artists. They had the Leafs by the balls and what did they do? Let them right back in the series. The Sens could of all but ended the series last night. Going home, I think they would have finally been able to beat TOronto. Instead they give on of their worst peformances of the season. So what is the Hens problem? I think they're poorly coached and have too many European forwards. They don't have a big physical forward who can play as a top 6 forward on the team. They need that. They have some talent like Hossa, Spezza, Chara, Redden and lets be honest Lalime has done very well in the series, it's not his fault his team cannot score of sh!t. It's not Belfour. Belfour has proven in this series he is suffering from a bad back. Its obvious to anyone who watchs the Leafs can be easily beatin, Philly proved that last year. So what do the Sens do? Ignore it and try and play a run and gun game. Result? down 3-2. I do think the Sens will push it to Game 7 but lose that too... It won't be the defense or goaltendings fault, it's the poor coaching and the lack of intense forwards that will cost them another season. habsfan88
I sure hope they win this, and even win game 7. If that happens, the stupid laffs are out first round and all of the people at school (leaf fans of course) won't know what to say, especially if they habs get passed the bruins in game 7! rocketrichard
GO SENS GO They gonna win in 6 and belfour isnt gonna do well in both those games
Leafs Suck
I think the Sens will win Game 6... I cannot believe how pathetic they have been. They should have won this series already but they have too many quitters. They know how to beat the Leafs, they have proven they can, and yet they're down. WHen they're playing they're best, they can beat the Leafs. If they lose this game, espically considering Sundin is out, they'll go down as one of the biggest choke acts of all-time. If we win, Leafs play Philly If we lose, Leafs play Tampa Either way, they'll have alot tougher opponent in Round 2. Although they're already counting Tampa out, and you wanna know why? "They have no experience". Gotta love it eh? Speaking of no experience, I see Robert Esche beat 3-time Cup winner Martin Brodeur. But I thought EXPERIENCE meant EVERYTHING. puck7x
Game #6 is going to overtime... I never thought the sens would tie the game, but they did. But the leafs will win in OT, the sens are pathetic... They manage to get outplayed by the leafs despite the leafs being without Sundin/Nolan, even if those 2 were healthy the sens are still the better team, I just wish they'd play like it. OT PICKS GAME #6 Leafs: Roberts Sens: Alfredsson

rocketrichard
I don 't know whos going to win anymore. The Leafs have to reley on Belfour and the Sens have to reley on the heavy scorers on the team but they're not doing to much in this series. I want the Leafs now and I say they win tonight!
