Who knows Montreal well?

Thanks to JMMR, my buddy and I are going up to see Philly vs. MTL on Nov 1st.. the catch is, I haven't been to MTL for years, and I dont know anything about the city. So I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. Specifically, I'm looking for (reasonably priced) hotels near the Bell Centre, and leads on any sort of "nightlife" that is in and around that area. We won't likely be in any shape for driving, so I'm trying to find places that are all sort of in the same area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

montreal isn't really busy(sp??) in november(especialy on a thursday) so you could get a fair price almost wherever. I would suggest that you take an hotel on crescent: good food and good music, and also walking distance from the bell.

26, nothing too fancy (no more than $200 for a 2 bed room), and any kind of food is good... anything specific to montreal would be ideal though...

any particular hotel on Crescent?

Thanks guys
