habs rule
That is a ridiculous statement wich will automaticaly let this thread slip into a debate we've been through hundreds of times. if you don't like the answer don't ask the question. I was told he doesn't interfere well au contraire mon frere
JoeLassister
if you don't like the answer don't ask the question. I was told he doesn't interfere well au contraire mon frere I was saying that because obviously, Pierre Boivin knew the team was to be sold, he knew who was or would be in the fight for the ownership, he knew the Quebec government was up to give 100M$ of help for any group from Quebec who would need it, etc. I wouldn't say it is interfering in hockey affairs as much as in the "business side" of the Montreal Canadien hockey Club. It would have been a stupid move to not do so even if Boivin wouldn't have said a word.
tokyohabs
How much more or less of a drive for french players / management will there be with the Molsons in charge, as opposed to Quebecor? Just asking.

Just asking. I think it will be less than with Quebecor that's for sure. Cuz Quebecor would have used the french players for their tv/magazine/radio/Star Academie agenda. No good ever comes of a meddling president making a gm's job harder. I liked what Carbo said he can speak chinese if he wins nobody cares. How much more or less of a drive for french players / management will there be with the Molsons in charge, as opposed to Quebecor? Just asking. The Molson's were always the type of hands off owners who let the hockey guys do their job. I assume they will remain the same. That is the biggest reason I thank God we don't have Quebecor cause they were not going to be passive about the team. Probably similar to TB where both owners should shot and pissed on. :hlogo:
