dlbalr
1-1 after 2. Courtnall has the goal for Hamilton. It has been a fairly even game so far from the parts I've seen.
DON
Well, 3-1 now, can chalk up another L I think
miklin
one thing I've noticed by attending games at the Ricoh is the home crowd isn't really into it. A lot of Leaf fans who really don't have much of an idea who they're watching. Sad today that the newbie of a referee put away his whistle for the second and third period. The referee Tom Chmielewski is an ECHL call up from Colorado. Kind of sad an inexperienced ref was on his own!
dlbalr
One thing I noticed especially today was how far Beaulieu has regressed since being sent back down. From what I had heard, I had some concerns but I saw that he's back to his old habits of hot-dogging and trying to make the easy play look hard. As much as the Montreal powerplay looks ugly, here's hoping he's down there for a while yet, don't reward him for reverting back to what kept him in the AHL this long in the first place. On the plus side, at least he's getting shots, something that most of the team is struggling with.
miklin
Brian-that's why I had posed earlier this month that I thought Beaulieu looked lackadaisical the last month or so. I realize his style of play makes for a lot of noticeable errors but something just isn't right. I'm not sure if his nose is out of joint with Tinordi's call up or what. In an on screen interview at the Copps earlier this season, he came across like a real jerk-like he was doing everyone a favour being back in the Hammer and would be called back up any time now. In an on screen interview at the Copps earlier this season, he came across like a real jerk-like he was doing everyone a favour being back in the Hammer and would be called back up any time now. They mentioned on the SNET broadcast today that Beaulieu told the announcers that he was going to be back with Montreal when the Olympics were over, something the organization for sure wouldn't have guaranteed. That's the wrong mindset to be approaching games with.
