dlbalr
After a tough weekend against a good team, the IceCaps (16-11-5-3) will look to get back on track as they take on an even better team for a pair of games in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (26-8-0-1) who sit 2nd in the AHL. A random tidbit, the Penguins are now coached by Clark Donatelli, who previously coached in ECHL Wheeling (Montreal's shared affiliate up until this season). (Former Hab Jay Leach also served as an interim coach for them this season.) (Based on previous +/- data.) Dea - Simon - Kostopoulos Sheary - Mouillerat - Wilson Uher - Gill - Rowney Sestito - Archibald - Loney Pouliot - Oleksy O'Neill - Ruopp McNeill - Andersen Jarry Hudon - McCarron - Holloway Bournival - Dumont - Eisenschmid Lessio - de la Rose - FribergFournier - MacMillan - Gregoire Hanley - Lernout Ellis - Didier Bennett - Dietz Fucale Puck drop is at 6:00 PM EST for both games, AM 930 has the call. dlbalr
no fond of these 3PM starts You should be getting used to them by now considering almost every home game is at 7:30 PM local (aside from weekends).
Guest Stogey24
Didn't McCarron kick the shit out of Kostopolis this year?
DON
If they fought, you know darn well Tom the Bomb was on the losing end! I think he is 0-132 for his pro career, but god love him for standing up for teammate every time.

dlbalr
One lineup change from last game up front as Fournier's in for Thrower (they had 7 D on Saturday). Fucale gets the start. Hudon and Holloway are back on the top line while Eisenschmid centres Lessio and Friberg. The IceCaps got off to a good start as their first shot of the game (from Dumont) went in. 1-0 early in the 1st.

dlbalr
good to hear a good start at least. You spoke too soon, the Penguins just tied it. Edit: Good news, the goal was disallowed.
dlbalr
1-0 good guys after 1. They were noting that the IceCaps look an awful lot better tonight than they did against Portland (granted, that wouldn't take much).
dlbalr
Now it's tied up (and the goal isn't disallowed). 1-1 halfway through the 2nd.
dlbalr
Wilkes-Barre took the lead early in the 3rd, now 2-1, about 13 minutes left.
dlbalr
St. John's put a big push on at the end but couldn't tie it up; they lose 2-1. They're at it again tomorrow night. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1015223

dlbalr
Good start tonight, 2-0 good guys early on. Friberg and MacMillan with the goals. Eisenschmid continues to move up the lineup, he's now on the 2nd line RW. Beyond a couple of small line tweaks, no changes from last night. dlbalr
And the two goal lead doesn't last long as less than two minutes after the second goal, it's a tie game. Ouch.
dlbalr
Ellis scores on a two man advantage late in the first to get the lead back.

dlbalr
How's De La Rose doing this year? The injury has kind of messed with things but all in all, I'd say he has underwhelmed. Offensively, he hasn't really improved a ton while defensively, he has struggled at times. Speaking of struggling, Fucale's getting the hook after allowing six goals on 16 shots. 6-4 Penguins in the 3rd.
dlbalr
Pasquale didn't allow any goals but the damage had already been done, 6-4 is the final. Now that the 2nd best team is leaving town, they can now get prepared for two games against the team leading the league, the Marlies. http://theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1015229
DON
6g on 16 shots eh, uggg!!!!!!!!!! Hey, at least scored a few. Outshot them 40-19. Good to see Friberg, Ellis and Holloway get 1g 1a each.
DON
I saw only one "bad" goal on Fucale, shortside from below goalline. Didier lost stick and Ellis had 2 on 1 in front of net on one. laRose-Lernout get beat on boards and no other d-man anywhere to be seen on another? one-timer and screened shot from point goals arnt all Fucale's fault neither Friberg had somewhat fluky rebound/garbage goal. Hudon with nice drop pass to Dumont over to MacMillan for a sweet goal. Holloway (playing the point on the PP) nice pass for Ellis and one-timer goal. Ellis with nice pass to Holloway (playing the point on the PP) and one-timer goal.
