dlbalr
After losing three must-wins in a row, the IceCaps (23-22-7-3) will look to avoid it not becoming four straight as they travel to Utica to take on the Comets (25-18-5-3). Two players from St. John's will be recalled following tonight's game, one forward and one defenceman. Hudon - McCarron - Holloway Friberg - Scherbak - Dumont Bozon - MacMillan - McNally Scott - Miceli - Gregoire Ellis - Dietz Hanley - Lernout Johnston - Didier Fucale (Based on previous +/- data.) Gaunce - Friesen - Grenier Hamilton - Bancks - Higgins Archibald - Zalewski - Prust LaBate - Cassels - Kenins Ehrhardt - Landry Fedun - Sautner Pedan - Subban Bachman Puck drop is at 7:00 PM EST, AM 930 has the call. Trizzak
Guess. Ellis and Hudon? Friberg hasn't had an NHL look yet.
DON
And Hudon just came back from injury (or sickness?), so likely not him. Scherbak has been chipping in on the offense lately or maybe Holloway? The Swede has been fairly quiet.
dlbalr
Friberg hasn't had an NHL look yet. Not with Montreal at least. He has played a few games with Anaheim this year. He's someone you could call up and sit if you're just looking for an extra body. I'd rather have him up and sitting than someone like Hudon. He also isn't lighting it up down there so from the perspective of not taking away a top player from them, I'm kind of hoping he's the one. And Hudon just came back from injury (or sickness?), so likely not him. Scherbak has been chipping in on the offense lately or maybe Holloway? The Swede has been fairly quiet. Something to note, the 10 game junior rule applies to Scherbak despite the fact he's in the AHL. He's also back to not scoring so I wouldn't bring him up right now. I'm not a huge +/- fan but a -16 rating in 29 games ain't pretty either. Quite honestly, he'd be on my 'don't bring up under any circumstances' list. He already has been banged up a lot this year and still has a tendency to get caught with his head down. That's a bit of a scary combo for me. The idea of an NHL 'cup of coffee' works for a lot of prospects but I'd suggest he's not one of them.
dlbalr
We're not going to find anything out based on the lineups as it's the full group tonight. Dumont's back (which is odd since it was reported he was going to miss the entire road trip) which should help.
miklin
Bennett's on his way back to the Rock from Brampton. Brandon Marino is on his way back from Brampton to Utica (was on loan by Utica)
dlbalr
Well, that was fast. 1-0 Comets already.
dlbalr
Archibald from Utica had a big hit on Johnston and Scott came in to defend his teammate. Apparently it was a one-sided fight.
dlbalr
Prust had two assists in the 2nd period; it's now 3-0 Utica after 40 minutes.

I like both call ups. Be nice to see how Ellis looks in NHL

Watched that fight. I really don't think it's a terrible thing having Scott down there. He definitely helps keep guys in check.
