shortcat1
The Maple Leafs organization is looking at going for the 2009 WJC. It's not been decided if they will. Here's the link. http://www.tsn.ca/canadian_hockey/news_sto...y.asp?ID=140990 I don't know if this is that much to be considered or if it's not just another media brain candy to rouse feelings and to start a controversy. :hlogo::ghg::hlogo:

Rooster
Well the article does quote a Maple Leaf Sports Entertainment executive stating that the are seriously considering it. After what is happing in the MSL file and now they are "considering" raining on the Habs' 100th b-day parade, I'm really begining to think that MLSE are a bunch of a-holes who think they can dominate the canadian sports market and are attempting to do just that. Montreal sports organizations might have quite a few more run ins with them.
