Spudter
Anyone know the story behind the Habs Back-ups? Yann was sent to Hamilton the 9th and now he is being recalled back to Montreal the 14th. This seems a bit wierd. I think Yann has shown that he can play in the NHL. BTH
Well since Huet is back he will be the new back-up. He's going to warm up in Hamilton for a week, though, first so for the next few games Danis will be back-up. Actually, I think he's starting tomorrow. Nice to know that Danis hasn't lost a game (AHL or NHL) since last year. He's 5-0 and has a great numbers.
JMMR
Yann is a great back up but he is still young the habs might as well get him as much action as possible to ensure he continues to improve. While Huet is a career back up and has always done a good job in this role.

MAK
I guess he was already pegged by Julien to play that game before he went to hamilton. so I guess théodore will play the back to back against new jerzey and ovechkin(no need to say washington since he's to only good thing in this team) this weekend
bebehabs
i rather think that the coach want to rest theo and have him top shape for coming games against teams in our division (nov 25-26-29 : buffalo, toronto, ottawa) our next few games are against florida, washington and atlanta, which danis can handle 1-2 games and win them for us hehe
JMMR
I dont know I think theo should go all 5 of those games. But with Danis playing that spectacular I guess you cant go wrong.
The Iron Lung
He's a young goalie, send him down so he can get a few starts, then bring him back up when he's needed and definitely ready. Makes sense.

mathieug
Good job from Yann. Thumbs up! Still I think we have to be carefull naming goalie X or Y a career backup. Even if that goalie's 29 years old. Anybody knew the Dwayne Roloson who was playing for the Saint John Flames in '95? I practiced a few times with him and I was thinking he was quite an awesome goalie! People said of him he was a career backup/minor leaguer and it sure looked like that when he joined the Buffalo Sabres to back up Hasek. Via St.Louis' farm he landed in Minnesota and we all know what he's doing there: 1995-96 Saint John Flames AHL 67 4026 190 6 1 2.83 33 22 11 1805 0.905 1996-97 Saint John Flames AHL 8 481 22 0 1 2.75 6 2 0 222 0.910 1996-97 Calgary Flames NHL 31 1618 78 2 1 2.89 9 14 3 682 0.897 1997-98 Saint John Flames AHL 4 245 8 0 0 1.96 3 0 1 123 0.939 1997-98 Calgary Flames NHL 39 2205 110 4 0 2.99 11 16 8 997 0.890 1998-99 Buffalo Sabres NHL 18 911 42 1 1 2.77 6 8 2 418 0.909 1998-99 Rochester Americans AHL 2 120 4 0 0 2.00 2 0 0 47 0.922 1999-00 Buffalo Sabres NHL 14 677 32 2 0 2.84 1 7 3 277 0.884 2000-01 Worcester IceCats AHL 52 3127 113 6 6 2.17 32 15 5 1482 0.929 2001-02 Minnesota Wild NHL 45 2506 112 0 5 2.68 14 20 7 1132 0.901 2002-03 Minnesota Wild NHL 50 2945 98 1 4 2.00 23 16 8 1236 0.927 2003-04 Minnesota Wild NHL 48 2846 89 2 5 1.88 19 18 11 1234 0.933 Maybe our french goalie has a few hidden talents as well. kaos
HE just needed some playing time. Nice to have Hamilton only a 5/6 hours away from Montreal so players can be shuttled back and forth quickly
shortcat1
You may want to check this out. It's an article on TSN.ca. Lots said about Danis and lots of it is good. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=14330...300&hubname=nhl
Rooster
Not a very scientific statement on my part, but the Habs are just Kick ass at developing high end quality goalies. They rule!
