Scary finish... heh. Going into the third with a 3-0 lead... gives me warm fuzzy feelings... Yeah.

Hey, we should blow this game right out of the water, score another 3 in the 3rd... you know what I'm saying? ;)

Didn't we beat NYR 4-1?

Or are we not counting empty netters?

I agree, a blowout would be a nice change of scenery...not that I'm complaining about 1 goal wins.

WOAH! this could be a surprise... on the other hand, statistically speaking, a loss is always due, even to a team that scored over 30 goals in five games.

gainey says that the nhl's general attitude with regards to the new game by the owners, players, refs, etc. is very positive. he's speaking as a member of the competition committee of the NHL.

Gainey goes on to say that there's no plans to make any changes during the season. the changes, if any, would take place after the season is over...

the most pressing concern seems to be what's happening to the goalies.

Heheh, "general." I suppose that excludes Pat Quinn:D

here was my error... i was going through box scores and was looking for blown 3 goal leads, cause i forgot that we won by 3 once...

jacques demers asked if it would be possible to make adustments to allow the defensemen to be more physical in their own zone but Gainey responded that this kind of change seems to be requested mostly by 'old guard' coaches - he even, with a smile, hinted that demers is oneof those 'old guard' coaches.

that would seem to indicated that there will be no going back to what it was.

as for me, that sounds great!!!! :D:D:D:D
