Zowpeb
Terms not disclosed...but he's gone for good. tsn.ca has the info...
jeppa
He will be paid 1.4 million for the remaining of the season, then 2/3 of 3 million next year if there's not a lockout.. Source: rds.ca I think this is the best thing for both him and the organisation.. obvoiusly he had his chances, but didn't deliver.. If it's because of his injury, CJ's system or something else noone can answer but himself.. but he just wasn't the right fit for one of our scoring lines anymore. It will be interesting to see if another team signs him for less money but I doubt it.. maybe Atlanta?
Redlight60
were still paying him enough money, but were opening up a roster spot and saving a few dollars. I think it is a good move, even though i like audette, can't say i ever had anything against him. keep things coming Savard...oops....Gainey i mean:hlogo:
Westcoasthabsfan
Any thoughts on who will take his roster spot?

So a healthy habs roster looks like... Bulis - Koivu - Ryder Zednik - Ribeiro - Ward Sundstrom - Juneau - Dackell Langdon - Plekanec - Dagenais Souray - Quintal Markov - Brisebois Bouillon - Rivet Theodore Garon Extra : Perreault , Kilger , Komisarek Yup , thats a 23 man roster right there. No more extra spots. By the way , that lineup I posted probably isnt accurate , its just that I have no idea what CJ will do... Will he play Plekanec or Perreault? sakiqc
I don't believe they FINALLY bought out Audette's contract! It was about time! It's really not usual to see a player's contract being bought out during the season. I personally don't think Audette will be able to sign for more than 1 million. But I'm sure he'll end somewhere. Maybe a team like Minnesota. I don't think Plekanec will stay long here. If he does he won't have a lot of icetime anyways. I don't have big expectation from him this year. IMO he should continue to develop in Hamilton. He has a great year so far.. let him finish the year with big numbers and confidence for next year. Lines i think we'll see Zednik - Koivu - Ryder Ward - Ribeiro - Dagenais Bulis - Juneau - Dackell Langdon - Perreault - Sundstrom

IMO, a healthy Habs Roster is: Bulis-Koivu-Ryder Zednik-Ribeiro-Dagenais Sundstrom-Begin-Ward Langdon-Juneau-Dackell With Plekky back in the minors, Perreault filling in for Juneau every second game (to rest the back), with small amounts of EV strength time, and a bunch of PP time. Until he's traded. Eventually, by the March deadline, I'd love to see: Zednik-Koivu-Ryder (A Real scoring line) Bulis-Ribeiro-Dagenais (Bulis is the defensive catalyst) Sundstrom-Begin-Dackell (Welcome back Beggy, we missed you) Langdon-Plekanec-Ward (Could cause a lot of havoc) That means that Kilger is sent to the minors (or picke dup on waivers), Perreault is traded, and Juneau is traded or bought out with a bad back. If Plekky proves more than adequate on the 4th line, switch him with Begin, and watch the fireworks unfold with a Langdon-Begin-Ward line. I can't wait... :eyes:

I meant healthy as in... healthy with Koivu for this weekend , not including other injuries (begin) Begin definitely has a spot in my lineup when he is healthy. ch_nl
Many of you seems to like having Bulis on the first line... I disagree. Zednik - Koivu - Ryder Should be our first line. We all should know that Zednik and Koivu has some chemistry. Ryder should keep his spot since he is one of the best things that has happened to this team since Theodore. Perreault - Ribeiro - Dagenais Small and soft Ribs and Perreault on the same line as big Dagenais. Ribeiro and Dagenais has chemistry and Perreault is a goal scorer. Ribeiros strenght is his passing ability. Bulis - Juneau - Dackell This line won't be here for so long. When Juneau is out Dackell will follow. I would like to see Bulis, Sundström and Begin. But untill then I think we should stick with something that we do know works. Langdon - Begin - Ward Tough line. Give them 5 or 6 minutes per game and they won't make any mistakes. And isn't that was the 4th line is about. To give the opponent a tough time and let the other lines have a rest? Extra: Plekanec (Let him develop in Hamilton Kilger ( No use to us. Trade him!)
