gazer
Very interesting, especially for Philly RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- The struggling Carolina Hurricanes acquired right wing Justin Williams from the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday for defenseman Danny Markov. Habby1197
Excellent move by the Canes... Williams is a future 30 goal, 70 pt guy and they got him for an injury prone Markov. Since Willliams is a RW... looks more like O'neill is on his way out too. [Edited on 2004/1/20 by Habby1197]

[Edited on 2004/1/20 by Habby1197] Yeah it is a good move by the Canes... They acquire a very young very skilled RW who (like habby said) is capable of around 70 points a season. Add him to young core of Vrbata , Vasicek , Svoboda , and its something to work with for Carolina... Plus Markov is injury prone and threatened to go back to Russia last summer... He'll probably go back if their is a lockout , and who knows ... he might stay. This sets up a Jeff O'Neil trade ... maybe he will be dealt within 48 hours... ch_nl
Maybe that's a clue... Carolina won't be moved to Winipeg. False? True? My prediction is that it is Nashville...
