les_glorieux
The Calgary Flames have signed forward Dan Ryder. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ryder, the Flames fourth round pick in 2005, is in his fourth season with the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League. He currently sits fifth in league scoring with 24 goals and 59 points. Ryder is currently serving a 10 game suspension for abuse of an official. The native of Bonavista, Newfoundland & Labrador, was named Playoff MVP during the 2005-06 season as he led the Petes to the OHL championship and a berth in the Memorial Cup. In 225 career OHL games, he has recorded 111 goals and 164 assists for 275 points.
