  1. No chance. We don't have a consistent finisher on our first line. Ryder takes care of that on the second. I guarantee you that Guillaume will play on the first line (unless he stops caring about hockey).
  2. Lets just say Latendresse-Koivu-Kovalev will be a sight to see next season.
  3. Theo isn't even a lock to make the team let alone be the #1.
  4. Looking like more of the same tonight. He just manhandled someone infront of the net and threw em around like a ragdoll. A man among boys.
  5. If Dagenais had one, I'd tell him not to quit it any time soon.
  6. Perezhogin and Higgins are better. They'll get the ice-time before Dagenais does. End of story.
  7. He's gotten his chance and he's failed miserably. He's a big body but he doesn't/can't hit so I don't know why you'd bring that up.
  8. Lol. There's no doubt he'd clear waivers. Nobody will ever trade for this guy again.
  9. Chipchura plays in the WHL and he can't get called up. Even if he could, he's nowhere near as polished as Lapierre is right now. Hainsey will not play another game with the Habs until next season. Not only has he stunk it up so far in the AHL, but he'd cause trouble with waivers. As for Kostitsyn, he's one dimensional and Perezhogin is better than him (not to mention much more deserving) at this point in time. Not very unexpected at all. The only guys I could possibly see ahead of Lapierre in the pecking order are Ferland and Murray. But even that is debateable. Hainsey has "stuck it up" this year in the AHL? Thats why he is tied for the team lead in points? (as a defensemen) Its also my understanding that a player is auto cleared of waivers if the call up is due to injury. Im not sure if this is position based (only a forward can get called up for a forward ect) [Edited on 2005/11/15 by rydified] Last time I checked, defencemen were supposed to, first and foremost, stop goals from happening not score them. What the hell is he? -10? Yeah, thanks for playing.
  10. Hainsey's doing terrible in the minors. He still hasn't learnt how to play defence and he's getting abused in his own end.As for Kostitsyn, he's still too raw. He's only 20 and one of the youngest players in the AHL and it's not like he's tearing it up in Hamilton so have some patience. He's gonna make it, just not anytime soon. And plus we need to fill a 3rd or 4th line spot so why bring up a guy who's allergic to backchecking to fill a defensive and penalty kill role?

  12. Zednik-Koivu-Perezhogin Higgins-Ribeiro-Ryder Begin/Bulis-Bonk-Sundstrom No worries. Perezhogin is much better on the right side anyways. Can't wait to see how Kovalev plays with that kink out of his knee. He should be even more dominant.
  13. The reasons we've lost this season is due to our anemic power-play. Theo can't change that. But for his part, he's been sub-par in his own right. If we could trade him and one of our forwards (to open a spot for Perezhogin) for a marquee player, Gainey would be an idiot to take a pass. It would alleviate our upcoming cap concerns (and trust me, we have some) and would help our pathetic joke of a power-play. Face it, the difference in talent between Danis and Theo is nowhere near as large as their difference in salary. This is the new NHL, the cap will come into play sooner rather than later. We won't win the cup this season and Zednik is an upcoming FA. He'll be asking for a raise and I don't think he's worth it considering the type of concessions we'd have to make to keep him here. Theodore and Zednik could fetch a fairly impressive return.
  14. On CBC's HD broadcast (since it's widescreen), you could clearly see the 5 players. It was a dumb call because the puck was nowhere near the bench and we didn't have possession.
  15. Like it or not, Theodore still had an off night. He can't stop breakaways and he can't play the puck.
  16. I can't wait until that little puke wellwood gets caught with his head down. That whole team disgusts me. Listening to CBC made me sick but they had the HD feed going so I didn't have much of a choice.
  17. RDS showed some clips from this mornings practice which showed a very pissed Julien ripping the team a new one on the ice. Bonk tweaked his groin. Didn't finish practice. Souray said he would play as long as he could get his skate on painlessly. He also said that if it was broken but somewhat painless, he'd still play on it. That was before the negative mri results came in. [Edited on 2005/11/12 by goHabs2005] [Edited on 2005/11/12 by goHabs2005]
  18. Wow, what a hit by Begin. Vicious but totally legal. It's not his fault that Talbot is fourth line trash that can't keep his head up and skate with the puck at the same time. Whatever, we stole a point. Anyone else think that Crosby looks like a ######ed hamster?
  19. The thing is that Rivet is a middleweight and Komisarek would most likely get handled severely by anybody remotely his size. He doesn't know how to fight. The ranks he came up through (USHL, NCAA) didn't allow fighting of any kind spare for the AHL, in which case the team was already loaded with scrappers.
  20. The thing is I don't want us to find out that we need a goon the hard way. Thinking that there *might* be a goon in the lineup the next time around won't stop Belak from sticking out the knee. Considering how Bulis is out for Saturday and Bonk probably won't suit up, I'd Give Vandemeer a shot. He's fighting for his career (no pun intended) and if things start to get chippy, he'd definitely put his neck on the line do defend our star players.
  21. I know he was very sick last week with a lung infection (As seen by Dagenais getting more ice-time than him) but he still managed to control the play everytime he was out there. Hopefully he'll be 90% by tommorow evening. With Bulis injured, Perez will get the second line spot and Higgins will get bumped down to the 3rd. Zednik-Koivu-Kovalev Perez-Ribeiro-Ryder Higgins-Bonk-Sunny Dagenais-Begin-Plekanec or Begin-Plekanec-Dandenault
  22. Alfie is the most under-rated players in the league.
  23. Higgins is going to take his spot on the 3rd. Sure, his defensive game might not be as polished as Bulis', but he's younger and has more upside. Perezhogin should be healthy by Tuesday and all the young guys will see their ice-time rise a bit from what it's been the past 2 weeks.
