Easy Ryder
Smart move by the Habs, J.Brisebois is now the youngest GM in the AMerican league and his first move is a bright one. Holding on to Lever and Wilson brings stability to the farm and the Habs have a Genral Manager in the makings. In a couple of years he will be ready to replace Bob, he will know the hockey part as much as the money and legal affairs. Great move i think. Habsfan24
Timmins should be the next GM after Gainey.
BTH
Why would we want Brisebois to replace Gainey in a couple of years? For one thing we should we still have Gainey by then and even then it seems like Pierre Gauthier is next in line. Timmins would probably make a good GM but he may want to stick to being a scout. There's not timeline for Brisebois, but he seems like our homegrown whiz kid right now. Gauthier is more a staffer for the Habs than a "next in line" guy IMO. Timmins might be our David Conte (NJ assistant & Lam's super scout). All that being said, Gainey will be GM until the end of his contract. Then, who knows... he might retire. Hopefully after the Habs win a Cup. :hlogo:

Easy Ryder
Building from within, when Julien Brisebois accepted the job he did not bring his old friends to do the job. Don Lever and Ron Wilson prooved that they can lead our prospect in winning ways. If Gauthier was the next in lane he would be the Dogs General Manager not an advsisor or a vice something. Timmins has no experience whatsoever in terms of contract negociations and managing NHL entire crew. Like Saskhab said Brisebois is our wizz kid, better that than throw an inexperience Ferguson Jr and making his mistakes in the NHL. And why again bring this back on Gainey sticking around or getting fired. The topic was great news we do not have only good prospects as players but in the staff as well and he prooves it by signing the best coaching tem in the AHL. I think they weren't all that tough on Gainey because of his family situation last year.
