  1. Watch Nonis turn that team around, although I don't know, the way the owner is in Vancouver (just a tad nutty) the insanity in Air Canada is even crazier. Taking the GM job in Toronto is like walking into a wasps nest.
  2. Is McDonagh the guy going to Michigan or is he from Michigan? *scratching my brain here* What happens if I get bored watching a draft? I start *trippin* and going into trances staring at the ceiling and go into this dream state.
  3. lol It just took up all day. Sort of like today in typing all these long winded posts, takes a lot of out you and then you realize that its 4pm and the day is gone. lol
  4. When the Blues had the number 1 pick they picked Erik Johnson. That's the last draft I followed. Well watching the draft in the states is a pain. I gave it a try when Versus had it, but the first round wasn't even finished yet and they cut away to bull riding. Plus it took so freaking long, the first round. woot versus!
  5. Nonis gets the Leaf job. lol I heard they were saying he'd be going to the cemetery of the NHL, Florida.
  6. Actually I do know the roster. Oh I'm not a hardcore or as they say in Europe an Ultra oh noes! I could frankly not care about draft picks because I don't know who they are or I didn't grow up caring about draft picks at all. Nobody did where I came from. Tell me about the guy when he makes the NHL team, right now he's just a nobody. Everyone knew the big name and that was it. Do you know how good your 7th round pick for your NFL team is? Or did you even know his name before hand? doubt it. If you did, you need a life and I'm sorry, but that's the truth. You aren't getting paid for this so this is a fruitless exercise in wasting productive time in your life. Then to know who in your team picked in the 1,000th round is rather telling about how much they've hooked you into this, part of their plan. That's sad that humanity has come to this. No I don't know anything about drafts because I find that sort of devotion a bit crazy. (They're nothing until they've proven that they are something). Plus I watched the NHL draft last year. I couldn't get excited about kids who looked like they just hit puberty. I'm not a fanatic, I think being so is a waste of time unless you're getting paid to do it. In the end we are talking about people who are in a different class then you making much more then you'll make, while you sit at home trying to grab hold of something and get something out of it. You know your life is generally is boring and stale therefore you've resorted to living vicariously through millionaires. Sports isn't a religion and religion isn't Sports. Its great to be a fan, but to know so much about a team when its fruitless, is a waste of a life in my opinion. Cities and states have gone mad over sports teams, built stadiums and arenas for what is a business when basic infrastructure as schools fall apart, bridges and overpasses fall into rivers and the lack of funds means bad police security and gangs slowly take over the city. Yeah its okay to build one arena and use it as an economic rebirthing tool, but then the business which is run by billionaires will ask for the city to build a new arena only after 20 years the new one was built. Only time I have ever see a benefit to owning a sports team is if the city owned it, then you wouldn't get the constant the public is being robbed here by billionaires and nobody notices attitude. So in the end, does it really matter? No. This is after all a message board that is dedicated to a hockey team that whilst has great history, which can be celebrated and I do all the time, I know the Habs place in Canadian history. I sincerely doubt the players and ownership of today cares about you unless you don't but their stuff. Then of course we have a problem. You guys wanted a reply. You got one.
  7. Viva La Vida- Coldplay Violet Hill - Coldplay
  8. The Evolution of Pierre on listening to the radio at night 1-12 It was this old grumpy dude who is a St. Louis radio legend. 12-17 ESPN Radio All Night 18- BBC World Service same pretty much goes for tv watching 12-14 All ESPN 14- All Politics Between 18 and 19 I got tired of american politics 19- USA what? Looked outside of the lower 48.
  9. chimes = grandma's house on the farm watching tornadoes go by at around 10 or 11 years old. I saw lightening north of Nanaimo a couple weeks ago. I'll see the big ole storms in 7 days anyway on my epic drive home.
  10. what are those? I've completely forgot what those are.
  11. Yeah I know, my friend who lived in England for a while says the same thing.
  12. and why? Hillary's finished. She'll quit by the end of next week.
  13. LOL Hey if you haven't noticed a bunch of big earthquakes are happening in STL over the past few weeks...
  14. Yeah I know. Only time I'd get behind an American team if its the Blues somehow get there or Mario and Roy come back. I'm not drinking the Crosby fruit punch, no real feelings for the Flyers. You kidding me about the Red Wings? Mortal enemy. Stars ehh again eh. If the Rangers were still in this and Avery hadn't gone psycho. I'd root for the NYR-DET Finals.
  15. Whenever I'm in the dorm, I'm listening to it. Like right now its Rome. Then Canucks Lunch and if there's a hockey game on after that I'll listen. I used to listen to ESPN Radio all night ever night for years.
  16. Well I was listening to my new favourite radio station 1040AM the FAN in Vancouver and I must say I've gone to the Mike Gillis is so awesomeness party, the man talks a good game, but I want to see results first before I drink the spiked fruit punch. So I've gone from sell to hold on his stock.
  17. Okay...... This kid needs a hobby. Oh I know the cure: International news from BBC World should send him on the right path. Next thing you know he'll be talking about genocide in Sudan and not football stats. Saved, Hallelujah! *turns on 1040* http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdo...-?urn=nfl,80972
  18. Avery's Mr. wannabe Hollywood. He'll go to California. U.S. girls aren't very bright, they will swoon for accents. Just say eh? and organ eye zation and they'd love you. Watch out for the Mrs. Pronger types though, so if I were him I'd avoid St. Louis all together. I mean look at the hockey wives we produced. Mrs. Pronger, Mrs. Gretzky...
  19. Well tempting to give a damn about the Stanley's cup playoffs, nope still don't care. I refuse to watch the United States Cup Playoffs. I see no point in watching the playoffs unless I knew somebody playing in them.
  20. Foppa won't sign. He's in the same boat as Jagr. They really can't go a whole season. aka they'll do a Roger Clemens (half a season) before he got exposed for roids and for screwing underage country music stars.
