  1. Unless he's buried in the minors, how is this not a 950k cap hit It's Neimi type deals, when Radulov couldn't be signed because of pennies on the dollar.
  2. Ya, I worded that wrong. I'm just leaning towards the fact that Lindgren was already with the team. Neimi is an extra $950 000, that probably didn't need to spent. Especially with the fact this team already has 10.5 million tied up in a goalie.
  3. Exactly. Pay your thoroughbreds. The rest will fall into place. I don't hate this signing, but, I mean is Neimi really going to have a $950,000 better season than Lindgren? Unlikely. It's multiple small moves like this, that do add up.
  4. Lars and Davey are looking like a filet mignon at this point
  5. Check out @ToddFuhrman’s Tweet: https://twitter.com/ToddFuhrman/status/998918577234198528?s=09
  6. I'm just saying, if pennies are going to be pinched....
  7. I mean it's not life or death here, but Bergevin wouldn't pay a first line winger an extra million dollars a year to stay in Montreal, but he has no issue spendng 1 or 2 million on guys like Neimi, Schlemko, and Hemsky....Combine their contracts and you basically have the extra flow to pay Radulov what he wanted.
  8. I was going to say the same thing
  9. We had a 40 point LD, but traded him for a winger.
  10. Dreger was saying this morning that he's heard speculative rumours that Montreal isn't on Tavares' list of teams
  11. So at the end of the day, what did we really gain in terms of on ice performance? Besides 3.5 mph more on a slap shot...
  12. Weber wasn't even suppose to be part of the trade with Nashville. Bergevin was trying to acquire another player for Subban, but apparently Polie changed his mind. Bergevin basically settled on Weber. Or so the story goes
  13. Like I've said, Molson is allowing this circus to continue. Maybe this team should focus on talent. Get your top 6 and top 4 in place, then sprinkle in your "character" and "glue" players. Talent needs to trump all. I rememer Bobby Clarke talking about the era of the broad street bullies and how tough and scary they were to play against, but he also said those characteristics were basically just the cherry on the cake. The talent won games.
  14. No, all good. I just saw another site had the English translation
  15. That's probably what other teams think about the Habs
  16. Sorry, I should have copy and pasted the text. Morrow later said somethings were lost in translation.
  17. Morrow had some words about Julien and Bergevin... http://www.journaldemontreal.com/2018/05/13/morrow-se-vide-le-cur
  18. Look how close Bergevin was to signing Lucic 2 years ago. I'm pretty sure Habs offered more money too
  19. There needs to be a middle man between Beregvin and Molson. This off-season would be a perfect opportunity to bring someone in, but Molson seems to think he knows hockey.
  20. Molson gives the o.k on these trades too...
  21. Edmonton isn't trading one of their top defensemen for 2 second round picks and a fringe nhl'er. Klefbom was averaging 23min a night, this past season and was a basically a 40pt d-man the year before. At 24 years old and a 4.1 million dollar cap hit, they're not just trying to dump this guy.
  22. I wouldn't be against a trade involving klefbom
