  1. Still a few others to fish for (Ryan Suter, Jeff Carter, Dustin Brown, Zach Parise ...)
  2. Before the game TSN690 guys listed one key to victory as Leskinen getting 13:00, meaning he would have played well and taken some pressure off the other D ... don't think they considered this possibility ... 13:00+ minutes because they might as well rest the others
  3. He never wants to come out and I doubt he ever wants to sit ... not saying it would be selfish ... rather it would be because he feels a responsibility to help the team
  4. Sadly ... I expect Price will demand the start whether he is truly ready or not
  5. Think there are accounts to be settled and this is a good time to do it
  6. Play Romanov and Leskinen to death ... bench Perry and Stall just to give their legs a rest ... waive the white flag
  7. I am of two minds ... it would take a shortened bench and tons and tons of effort to come close ... I do hope they play hard but think this is a time to roll four lines and six D ... not grind the players down with little hope for success ... drop Drouin to the 4th line (because he deserves it) ... move Stall into his spot ... KK back to centre and put Byron with TT&PD
  8. Wonder if Yzerman wants him back ...
  9. It shouldn't, in so much as the issues have been there for a while ... and they wouldn't change if Habs were up 3-0 ... he should already be seeking out help
  10. Prime time for Primeau ? ? ? ? ? ? ? More to shake up the team than blaming it all on Allen ... although the third goal ......
  11. That was a stupid (IMO) challenge ... the contact with the glove was not obviously intentional ... as would have been a tap/slash for example (apparently one of the examples the NHL offered of when there could be interference without the player being in the crease) ...
  12. Think the issue is that ideally Staal needs to be a 4th line player, at most a third line winger, with PP time as appropriate ... that would necessitate KK moving back to centre ... Byron or Lehkoen the logical RW for Tartar and Danault ... PB and AL's goal scoring is about the same this season, but Byron has more assists ... so I would favour him
  13. Apparently, according to TSN690 broadcast crew, the pre-game music was loud enough that it was shaking the cards off the seats
  14. Badgers were happy for him Wisconsin Men's Hockey (@badgermhockey) • Instagram photos and videos
  15. He had 3 pro seasons (8 goals in 55 NHL games, 21 goals in 84 AHL games) before the injury ... from what little I recall of seeing him, don't think he would likely have been more than a bottom 6 NHLer for a couple/few years
  16. You Berra math? ... "Baseball is 90 per cent mental. The other half is physical."
  17. Regardless of how he plays tonight it doesn't (IMO) change the need for a puck moving LHD to pair with Weber, or in the absence of that a veteran top 4 RHD to anchor the 3rd pairing
  18. Byron and Lehkonen for Crosby with 50% retained by Pens?
  19. At 14:31 Clown (err Clune) got an interference penalty for a hit on Caufield (see below) ... at 16:46 Pezzetta and Clune got fighting majors ... fill in the blanks ... Rocket players at least respect the kid
  20. A good summery by Eric Engels of the Habs trade deadline situation ... but sheds no real light on what to expect
  21. It was a shot at the "game" (manicured fairways, billard table greens) not the post ... and nice to see Canucks succeed at anything
