so who do you send down? i believe that Chipchura is done as a canadien. I can't figure out which one of white or pyatt to keep up. They both take turns impressing me as fourth liners. Can either of them fight? White definitely forces plays and hits hard, but Pyatt shows signs of being a speedy intelligent 3rd line shut down guy.

I'd put AK with Gio and Gomer... and SK with cammie and plek. also, White and Pyatt = way better than Chip and Stewart

man, i just watched the game on canadiens express. SK looks very good. He was fantastic tonight. He has that fire that I wish his bro had.

Well, Sergei was trying to do too much tonight. That sucks. Price let in one softy from crosby. it was a hard accurate wrister though. the guerin goal was a little smelly too. Ya, we always knew how good he was defensively, but when you put the whole package together, it is impressive. If he can continue like this, we are not going to be able to sign him and Carey this year. I hate the cap.

Well, that's 4 bad periods played in the last 6. I know we are injured and I'm happy with the win, but I'm not as happy as a lot of you are. Between Detroit and CBJ, I've seen a lot of bad hockey on our side. The only thing that saved us was Carey. (He's back big time.) And I guess in the end that makes me happier than if the team played great and he looked weak, but we fluked a win. Great third though. I felt that Sergei looked great. He didn't look that great at first , but as the game went on, he really made things happen out there. He has great offensive vision, and I hope he can stay and be happy. MAB was fantastic. He still tries those high risk passes, and he needs to be careful with those. He looked really good though. I'm very happy with the 09/10 version of O'Byrne so far. Different guy out there.

Ya, I agree. don't forget guys that Lats was very good last year. In a 3rd line role. I would argue that Kosto, Lats, and Laps were the only consistent line last year. I for one am sad to see him go. I really hope that Benny grows a heart here, otherwise, all we did was lose our biggest hitter. Didn't Lats lead all forwards in hits last year? I guess it will be a wait and see thing. There does look to be some upside to benoit though.

well, now that andre is learning the system, he should be able to help sk. i believe the language barrier is affecting them. well i think it affect ak, sk actually understands english quite well from his interviews.

Lats was very good last year as a 3rd liner. He was solid. It will be interesting to see who gets the larger contract at the end of the year. I would wager that it will be Latendresse. Way more NHL games and a solid year vs soft lazy guy with talent. I will reserve judgement on this, but man it's hard not to be a little disapointed. I hope I am wrong.

ya 60 game suspension would suit me just fine. that was one failed experiment.

So is he a centre or what? I think Gainey looked and said OK, I have 3 young guys of talent in Lats Sergei and Maxpac all kinda fighting it out for the same postition. Maybe it was just a matter of having an under achiever develope at centre instead. This should be interesting. I'm a little worried about the whole thing. I really liked Latendresse. If he is a centre, it is worth the risk I think.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm sure Plek has assisted more of Cammie's goals than Gomez, and they don't even play together regularly CC...I have a very good feeling about O'Byrne. It would be great to see him play with Markov. Markov O'byrne Hammer Spacek Mara Gorgez Gill Bergeron playing right wing on the fourth line. That's depth. Add to that the fact that Spacek is not playing his natural side and the hopefull developement of Carle, Belle, PK, and Weber, and I think there could be room to unload those two guys. I think Spacek could take Hammer's place if he was on his natural side.

So is Gomez OK?
