  1. Staal staying on his ass sulking about the non-call, rather than hustling back to the front of the net to be a factor on the upcoming shot, is the last straw for me...lazy old bastard shouldn't be playing.
  2. Play the guys who are going well the most...simple concept, but one that Ducharme fails to grasp more often than not.
  3. Evans needs to be above KK on the depth chart.
  4. Armia is a moron. How the hell do you do that?
  5. For God's sake these bums just can't figure it out.
  6. I am ok with Wilson ragdolling of Panarin, as Panarin jumped on his back. While I love WHY Panarin did so, coming to the defense of a teammate without any regard for his own well-being, his noble motive does not excuse that he in fact initiated a physical altercation with Wilson...therefore I have to agree with Bieksa that Wilson should not have been suspended for what transpired afterwards. It was a one-sided wrestling match, and Panarin doesn't suddenly get a pass just because he lost his helmet in the melee.
  7. Ducharme keeps playing guys who are clearly not going well tonight...he's a horrible coach.
  8. Of course Kotkaniemi falls on his ass, blocking Caufield's access to the puck...killing cycle on the powerplay. 🤬
  9. I'm cautiously optimistic that well-rested Price, Weber, and Gallagher returning will transform this team into one that can upset Toronto if they play the right way, with Caufield in the spot of that other guy that I think is gone for the season.
  10. The entire JOB of your head of scouting is to compare the guys in the draft...that's pretty much the whole point of their existence. Ours failed to do so accurately. If you want to be 'more fair' and compare KK this year to Tkachuk and Hughes last year, those guys are still better by a wide margin.
  11. I believe that is his point. And while someone drafted 3rd overall shouldn't need two years of work in the minors and the weightroom to be an effective rookie (see Tkachuk, Hughes), Kotkaniemi sure did/does. Not that I'm saying that course of action would have made him viable as a top 6 center, as the talent level he has shown looks well short of that, but he'd be a solid and consistently producing 3rd line center perhaps.
  12. I hate these a**holes sometimes...I really do.
  13. Are you kidding me? Kotkaniemi is an offensive black hole himself!
  14. Can always count on this team to bring a half-assed effort against the Sens
  15. There were a few of you questioning whether he was ready. 🤣
  16. That last powerplay was disgusting. There is not another coach in the league that would have Armia on his 1st powerplay unit.
  17. ALWAYS a crap goal against when we play Toronto.
  18. GOAL CAUFIELD Nice comeback, happy with the result and all...but, geez: if they have even HALF of the effort level they showed in the last 18min of that game from the beginning, it's not even close.
  19. I've been impressed with his hustle on the backcheck, his head-on-a-swivel constant reading of the play, and his positioning has been good 90% of the time in both ends considering he's learning a system and has unfamiliar linemates. Very promising.
  20. I feel you both have validity to your feelings. Weber, when up to snuff, is of course an asset and we have to hope he can get back to that level in time for the playoffs. However, the argument can be made that Weber has cost us more goals than he has prevented/scored over the past month or so...he's been awful.
