  1. I agree, he has not won the cup with the Habs as GM yet. Plus every home game night his Jersey hangs in honour. This is not the right time for him to leave. Hey I'm disagreeing with Colin and BTH, who would have thunk-it! (I think these two are closet leafy fans ) Keep in mind any New GM still has to deal with PEddie! He will not relinquish his greatness on their franchise. :puke: Is there a chance Gainey would leave? I say 1% before he wins a cup with Habs as GM, and 50% once they win. He slowly moved himself out of Dallas after they won. Gainey is a champion and will see this through.
  2. Wa happened? double post so I deleted this one... Move along nothing to see here...
  3. TSN LINK EDMONTON - It's a string of perfection that grows more remarkable with each win. Edmonton Oilers goalie Mathieu Garon is 10-0 in shootouts this season. Put him in a shootout and it's victory Garon-teed. "When you start the year and think about shootouts, you want to get the extra points and you want to win more than you lose," Garon said. "Being 10-0 is getting crazy." Garon's mastery in shootouts hit double digits when the Oilers edged the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 Sunday. Garon tied an NHL record with his 10th shootout win. He's stopped 30 of 32 attempts.
  4. I believe you will find the majority here were suprised, and thankful to have had Cristobal play for the Habs. He was not the major part of the trade with L.A.; yet he became an important steady force to help the Habs morph into a competitive team. You will find there is balance here on those that criticize Huet and Price. Looks like only Halak is perfect.
  5. TSN, Sportsnet, The Score, Toront Star, Globe and Mail and all the rest of IDIOT sports people in Toronto. All of them said Toronto was a playoff contender, I emailed them all and said 12th place in the East! I know more about the Leafs then those so called experts. I do not watch or read anything based in Toronto!
  6. Dreger is a legend in his own mind. He adds NOTHING to the human race and should be exiled to cleaning Army Latrines. At least there he would be making a contribution to society and hopefully never breeds. His offspring would be similar to this:
  7. brobin, some people just don't remember their memo's from Bettman.
  8. Is it me or did I see that the Habs are the second highest scoring team and have four 20 goal scorers. WoW!
  9. When I listened to the audio I could not believe Harper the LIAR. He lied about his bribe and was caught on tape. No way I can vote for this reform/alliance/conservative liar. No wonder he does not talk to the media, HE LIES!!! Step down Harper, as I have left your party!!!! LOSER..... Audio File Link - .mp3
  10. Captain Stealth you really have to let this go as it is not good for your health. Vancouver has a good team and one guy does not make you a champion. I would rather have Luongo as my star instead of Richards. If the "Nucks go out with a whimper in the playoffs this year, then it is time to be mad. Maybe if Naslund and company show up in the playoffs you will forget all about Mr. $7.8Million dollar man.
  11. It's not right to laugh at the injury, but it is good that it hurts the Pens playoff push in the standings. Again, I only posted this news item as it pertains to the playoff push; not any feelings of bad for the player. In fact I hope the Habs can acquire Hossa in the offseason. If he is out 1 week, then it is not too bad. Any more then that, the Pens are really weak from the players they traded away.
  12. Ohoh, you better not watch the playoffs then as Vancouver is not known as a team that will score lots of goals in the playoffs. Then again every team tightens up so most games are going to be close and many overtime games. You will get arrested for television assault and battery if not careful... I thought Vancouver defence was excellent last night. Funny how two people see things differently. You are right about the Sedins. What is with the holding and tackling? Almost like watching a CFL game! Well with Foote back he has blocked 1 GazBillion shots in two games. Plus Colorado's defence bent but did not break. Thing the AVS have going for them is theodore looking for a new contract....
  13. Yup, and Cedrick has to prove himself once again for the dogs. And Denis just has to bide his time or ask BG for a trade to another team in the offseason.
  14. Well it looks like Bob Gainey gets a better grade to C+ from Trade Deadline Day since Hossa is now out with an MCL injury....
  15. Hey Captain Stealth, was that not an exciting game between the 'Nucks and Avs last night... When Vancouver scored with 1.4 minutes left, I just relaxed and thought the AVS will get them on tuesday. That ending is what hockey in the west is all about, its never over. Good hits, good goaltending and excellent skill. What a comeback and finish. Between these two teams with Dallas and San Jose you can never say it is over. And Luongo is one of the best positional goalies I have ever seen.
  16. TSN STORY LINK Marian Hossa's first game as a Pittsburgh Penguin ended pre-maturely as the Slovakian sniper left after suffering a grade 1 strain of his MCL. The injury occurred in the second period of the Penguins game against the Boston Bruins when Hossa collided knee-on-knee with Glen Murray. He immediately left the ice and did not return.
  17. A: Good for you, everybody has different tastes. (Glad to see you can be serious) B: Good for you, exercise is good for clarity and health. C: Me too, so there you go you are not alone. Problems: A: Go to a pub and you will find card carry members of the "Nucks! (Guys wearing the jerseys) B: Same problem here even with outdoor rinks. C: TV is better, but keep your eyes on the road!!!!!!! D: Only you can coordinate your time management skills, no excuses. There are hockey fans everywhere. Just because you do not wish to concede you have not provided substatial proof to your observations, does not mean they do not exist. I still do not believe the world is round as every picture I have seen is 2D. Glad to see you have time to respond here.....
  18. Go get him Captain Steath! We have him on the run...We will DeStRoY Pierre's will to post excessively... Only kidding Pierre, looking forward to more of your FACTS on the health of Hockey in BC.
  19. Pierre, I don't know how you can post so much nonsense and back it up with NOTHING. I actually enjoy your posts, they make me laugh and they make me cry. I also think you take things a little too seriously. If I believed your opinions (And that is everything you have ever wrote here) hockey does not exist. I can honestly say my 6 closest friends and I do not play hockey, do not skate (Even though I can and have in my youth) and are not hockey fanatics. With these numbers I have come up with the fact that 100% of Ontario does not play hockey or skate. Ignoring the rinks around me, the fact that many servers went down or had capacity issues COAST TO COAST due to Trade Day; I can conclude Hockey is not watched according to you. Sorry, but your sad statements so vague, and your views without any kind of fact are just funny. I do believe you may be correct that Hockey may not be as important in BC vs Alberta/Ontario/Quebec. But to say 3million people don't care without data to backup your statements show you really have no clue. But post on, you do make me laugh.... And that is 100% accurate.
  20. I agree. Huet played great for the Habs and is not the only guilty party for some tardy play. I hope nobody here hated him as he was a good, non complaining team guy. Gainey just did not want to lose him for nothing and 2nd round draft choices are important for stocking the farm or future trades.
  21. Ok, I lets say his name is Joe Zuzumomma... Yup Joe Zuzumomma the UFA.
  22. Or Ottawa first overall and Leafs in last playoff spot. Ottawa fan mouths say they own Montreal and having to play Leafs they would SHUT their mouths quickly.
  23. Actually they are solid 2nd maybe third line guys but I get what you mean. Who knows if Espo will be anything, however Hossa is a rental and Atlanta can bid for him next year. Pittsburg has to sign Malkin and ?Stall? soon; plus they traded Sydneys buddy. ThePens just became a softer team. I give Gainey and A+ for not trading Higgins, Krex or either of the two Kots!
