They are done. With each additional loss the teammoves up the draft order that is the only good news. They would have to win 13 games, because a team can role off 10 and that team has games in hand. They semi control there destinay witht he Bruins and Rangers 5 games left against them. In reality i think they have 6 or 7 games since January, so there is no way this team competes hard enough to make the playoffs. They show no heart or desire to even play a 60 minute game. Shoot sorry 6 or 7 wins since January.

Because they are Olympic size sheet. Fisher will be a combo player, he has great wheels and skating like Dandy, unlike Dandy he skates very well with the puck, passes very well and is very smart. He'll need to bulk up, he should be ready in a couple of years. Maybe a 2nd line PP and Pk guy depending on who he is paired with.

I'm going not to try and offend the Eoro posters but the Habs current roster is filled with Eero prospects. I would look for them to go after more North American style of players this year. The need some grit and NOrth South players, some who can protect the net or drive to it. I think they may split the first 2 picks to get a D man and a center. I know nothing of the prospects other then what i read so is there a reason Esposito is falling? Size, speed? Is there anyone in the draft this year who could move right up and play?

I agree about signing a top center, i mean more trading the D away and getting UFA good D in. Bouilon and Dandy and NOT resigning Souray is a start on the back end overhaul.

well both fits. In Kovalev's defense he is a much better plus minus guy then alot of the rest. Which is kind of surprising since he is so lazy.

Great points Kozed, i thought i was the only one saying it's time to blame the players. Frankly it's about time, like you said how many coaches can get canned? Well all those coaches are doing just fine thank you.I also think it's clear the head coach isn't going anywhere. It's time for the players to put up or shut up. Most of them obviously watching them play want or need to move on and that's fine with me.

Unfortunately the current Habs are too lazy to care about throwing a body check or working hard to get the puck. The spend about a minute in there own end and if they are lucky enough not to ice the puck they can change lines and do it again. In case anybody missed it, they have played this way for years. Not the coaches fault the players are lazy and don't care. Opening up? As much as people complain about the goaltending? They are bad enough defensively, they goalies would really be hung out to dry.

Do not resign any free agants accept for johnson, Markov. trade pleks for a younger D man. IF you are going to sign a center. If not i'm happy with his efforts as #2. Sign 2 UFA defenseman. Hannon, to pair up with markov, a puck maoving D man to play with Komi. Sign a real goon, Boogard. Line up. Higgins Rolston Lats Perez Pleks or new signing Kosty Torres Chipchura Johnson Begin Lapierre Boogard / Milroy Hannon Markov Komi Timonin (example) Gorges Aucoin This line up is obviously younger, faster, bigger and should be able to move the puck and forecheck better. With the 2 first round picks, i get a center and a D man. I have no idea who is out there to be drafted, Is there any one who could step right in? Or they could trade the 2 picks for a top 5 pick. Whale, Who cares what there names are? Souray blows accept when he is shooting the puck. Kovalev shows up once out of every 6 games. They lose when they are the line up so let the kids who hustle play. St Loius points are not in the bag. Since Murray took over they are way over 500.

Well that was another quality 20 minute effort tonight. I'll start with some good news, The Habs are moving closer to a top 10 pick. The 4th line playere well, good forechecking and physical play. Gorges and Kosty also played well. This is the worst D in the league, hands down. Once again Souray takes one shot and everyone forgets how bad the rest of his game is, So next time Shelson, before you shoot your mouth off about others games, take a look at your own. Kovalev, Ryder, Koivu and Higgins were worthless again. The top line really has no business playing against anyone but the other teams 4th line. Carbo needs to bench Ryder Kovalev and Souray next game.

You are aware the Habs have been nothing but an 8 seed the past 10 years, 1 point from where they currently reside. Please enlighten us as to why this is Carbo's fault as opposed to the lazy group of players he is working with?

Yea, i mentioned in another post. IMO that Kovalev, Koivu, Bouillon and Dandy were given too long of contracts. I don't think BG expected those guys to not show up this year.

Hey Whale, the sabres had like 6-8 of there starters out. The Habs had nothing for them. There is a reason the Habs are at the bottom 5 in every category accept the PP. The Pk will be there by the end of the year. Top 4 scorers over minus 60. Enough said.

Bg has turned the ship around talent wise, now the team needs to turn to those younger players and remove the core and the vets. He does have a plan, it took him a few years to turn the Stars around, they had alot more talent as well. The only 2 faults i see so far is not moving Souray for a top pick and a yong player and signing the crappiest core of D men to long contracts. I wish they were all unrestricted so they can start over. Getting Gorges was a good move not to mention a first.

He was minus 2, but he had his man on both plays, it was a bonk and bouillon mistakes on each goal. You can see he likes to pinch and move the puck. He made a few good plays in his own end. Hard to get a good read with the rest of the players playing so poorly in there own end

I'm not living in the past, this team sucks, and it's not the coaches fault. Julian 1st place, Therien 4th place, Vineux (spelling0 1st place. All coaches fired with the core. Obviously the coaching has been the problem. What has this team ever been besides an 8 seed?

Since you didn't see the game, the defense was far worse then the goaltending. Plus Buffalo had half there regulars out. No effort again. I would bet they had 30 turnovers in that game.

Um the team hasn't been ready to play for years. STOP blaming the coaches for the players laziness. Do you really think Carbo says before the game " hey guys this is a very important game, so i want you not to play hard, please don't skate and take penalties". I doubt it.
