We lost but it wasn't so bad, we dominated this game but had some brain farts. Toskala stood on his head and the leafs needed a big powerplay in OT to win it so it doesn't bode well for them. When this team meshes well and we get rid of the dead weight we will be well out of their league. This always seems to be the way these games go, if we show up and try we dominate easily. Say we make a few small moves like replacing Dandy and Boullion with Gorges and O'Byrne. Maybe packaging Ryder and Halak for a strong 1st line winger and we are gonna be doing damn good.

Agreed, seriously with Kosty and Higgins it was magic, now he's all alone with slow and slower.

Trade Huet and Price turns out to be a dud then what? We've just hobbled our team for years. No, we need to make a package like.... - Ryder - Boullion - Halak And get a real impact forward.

For insurance? In NO way is Huet a backup goalie, he often leads the league in save percentage and stole us many points last season. If you're pinning your hopes on Price swooping in and saving the day don't hold your breathe.

Yeah the last one went under his arm or something. He didn't play amazing but he far from cost us the game. He played average, how many times do we have to watch the habs get a lead and then sit back and fall apart? You don't stop a slapshot from 10ft away with anything but luck.

Crap call? He was clinging to the guy like he was his babies daddy! Boullion is a bad defencman and is a total liability.

The one that he played off his net was a bad move, the other two in regulation were next to unstoppable, they let them walk in and blast from 10 feet away not many goalies in the league are gonna stop that.

Very right, Boullion isnt smart enough or talented enough, why they put him out there in overtime is mind boggling!

Brisbose has bad moments but that useless Boullion screwed us royaly tonight, how is he still on this team???

Prediction, Plekanec gets more points than Higgins. The initial post hit alot on the head but I see us making the playoffs this year and maybe a first round exit. Wow Kordic sounds like the entire team will have a career season and win the stanley cup and shoot rainbows out of their asses and fly through the sky dropping gumdrops and candy for all of the sick children of the world!

Seemed really dangerous from what I could hear and he was our best player in a game or two. I'd rather him than that useless Murray who we've for almost forever.

I was shocked to see D'Agostini get cut, he seemed to be playing great and scoring goals. I hope Beaureguard makes it and we finally ditch Murray.

Big deal this is what Plekanecs second full season? Half of last season he was stuck with the two dead weights. Who did Riberio play with last season? I hope he never achieves Riberios infamy. I never "annoited" him anything, but I did say he was the future of this team and he is. He is a comparable talent to Higgins and Komisarek. No he is a perfect 2nd line center and he fits there well, Koivu is an adequate 1st line center when he has equally talented wingers. Turn what ship around? Are we careening down the standings? I am glad you're not GM or else we'd be up to our necks in the Riberios, Kovalevs and Yashins of this league. An average team you say? But surely after last years performance I thought for sure a 10 year dynasty at least! And yes thanks for pointing out any player could turn out great or terrible and that the laws of physics are still in effect.

When Plekanec falls on the ice, fakes a seizure and then gets up laughing then we can compare.

Yes Pleks is such a flash int the pan, he doesnt improve players around him, he only shows up once every couple games and only produces when its un needed. Oh wait those are all wrong. Plekanec constantly sets up plays, he gives 100% every night and is often the only player to produce night in and out. Comparing him to Riberio is a slap in the face. Riberio is a heartless gutless no talent insult to this team, moving him was a good move even if had been for a bag of pucks. Plekanec could one day take over for Koivu, he has all the things he needs except the experience. Give him two decent wingers and watch him produce. Find a team in the entire league that wouldn't want Plekanec at his price, now find a team that wouldn't want Riberio at his price, I can think of one right now.

Plekanec has both of our goals right now, if anyone doesnt think he is our future they should watch more hockey. This is ######ed, the one damn time im home in time to watch a game and its not broadcast anywheres!
