What about Kovalev? I thought he doesn't want to be a regular player. He wants to be the best. Sorry. I just don't see it. I was so close to getting center ice this year and I am so glad I didn't waste my money. Although I did go to watch the game at a sports bar when they played the Avs. The night they blew Theo out of the water. I think I spent as much money as Center Ice costs in one night. Shit maybe we should bring back the Amigos. Theo will be bought out ....sign him for nothing....sign mayonaise and trade Kovalev for Ribs and things will be back to normal. Still be eighth seed but at least we'll make it to the first round.

Wow ....this is honestly the worst Habs team I've evr watched in my entire life. Missing the play-offs was never an option. Even when they did they fought hard to miss them, and it was close and a bummer. I really do feel like crying. At the begining of the year I really thought we had a strong team. It's like everyone got stronger and better, and the Habs just stayed the same. Maby Abby will wake up now. Oh wait he can't get shut-outs for the next 13 games. Can anybody score a goal? What the F$%K?????????

Could be just Guy's way of giving nothing. Answer the question and go home. Up untill the trade deadline they have been pretty good at not giving the media anything to ride on. I'm pretty sure Carbo is used to all this after being captain of this team for so many years. He's just playing dumb. What else is he going to say?

I'm sure Bob and Souray have had a handshake conversation about all of this. Souray won't leave. He'll get his money and open another restaurant.

Good one Mont Royal. We must have been answering the Sharp (insert name) at the same time Dude! There are 9 or ten teams in our division alone that are seperated by 5 points. We can be in fourth in a couple of days. One of the main reasons we are competing right now is because of him.

This is one of the stupidest posts I've read today........We have a talented offensive defenseman that is giving us the number one powerplay in the entire league. YOU BUILD ON THAT. NOT THROW IT AWAY. If he does get traded, and the guy we trade him for under achieves we have the same team and no powerplay. Then you can be the Clown whinig about how we should have kept him. We need some grit and muscle. Pittsburgh has toughend up....laraque and roberts. Atlanta has made a huge move to get better...Keith. If the habs don't do something to at least get us a little tougher we are screwed this year. We need STRENGTH

I don't think any team has to give what Souray may demand. He is definatley a weapon the Habs need and shouldn't get rid of. As far as free agancy goes. I'm sure Gainey will find a way to keep him. Gainey is a smart man and I just can't see him letting such a commodity walk away. I can see past souray's few flubs and brain farts in the defensive zone, he's not as bad as some of you make him sound. If we do trade him all you complainers can kiss the #1 powerplay good-bye and how about the 22 F%^$KIN goals the guy has. Come-on THINK!!!!!! We need to keep this guy. I'd happily give 6 million to a guy that is a Leader, Fighter, PowerPlay quaterback, ALL-STAR, etc..........Who else are we going to get to replace him.....????????

Who's giving up? One can't help but be bummed about the longest serving player on the team being traded. A change is good I suppose for Montral and Rivet. Any way you turn it, it's still a bummer. I'm actually happy and look forward to the future. Rivet turned out to bring back more of a return than I ever thought he would. Mostly I worry about Saku. They've been best friends a long time.Professional or not this will affect him in a lot of ways. He's human. Hopefully in a good way.(On the ice at least)

I had this in another post. Makes more sense here. To make things even more weird when I came back to the front page of this website what two mugs are staring at me? Rivet and Kovalev. Crazy Stuff. Earlier today I went on a big rant and then just erased my post because I thought it was useless. It was about Rivet and Kovalev's fishy injuries. I thought Rivet's situation was really strange .......and Kovalevs is pretty dumb too. Sore elbow? Come on ...he is our best player.(or one of them) What?, when? , where?, how? did he hurt this elbow. I felt they were leaves of absence due to their poor play and mostly attitudes that needed rest and adjusting. Much like Breeze-by when he decided to vacation in Paris and got killed by the media. Anyway...I come back to the boards and Rivet is gone.......... I'm surprised, mostly with all the talk about Souray and other players. Maby Bob will surprise us with a Kovalev trade since he was in the dog house/elbow injury/attitude vacation mode much like Rivet.... Who knows? I wonder how Saku feels? They were really good friends. He won't be happy, I hope it doesn't affect his play.

Perez did look good tonight that's for sure......I do think patience will be a virtue for us habs fans....thank gainey for that. There are good things coming from this slump that will pay us dearly in the next few years. Gainey is letting the team know he beleives in them and that is priceless. Alot of young kids will earn respect for themselves and him.

Whatever trades Gainey makes............ I mean really ....what else??????

AHHHHHHHHHH MANNNNNNNN Good game to go to. Pred fans are dorks. Completely sold into the disney aspect of it. BORING.!!!!!!!!! Habs? Man I really can't say that we have a club oozing with talent. On the same note Forsberg looked like shit. Preds lost a game that they should have not lost. Don't get me wrong I'm happy and was a handfull at the game but not for one second did I feel like the Habs had it in the bag. If the Preds are going to win the cup this year.........Cool, but they looked like shit too, so don't use this as a basis to where we stand against other teams in the league. Everyone really looked kind of shitty. Good win....we needed it. Get Better FASTER!!!!!! I'm drunk ....had a great time, but was not blown away...........except Koivu. That dude is small but plays big. Never take that away from him and hope he ends his career in Montreal.

If anything Kovalev is a negative guy........Probably the reason he has stiefeled(?????)(how do you spell that word?) his own career. We are not better without him. I just wish and hope the young guys don't look up to him. He can help but he is not the answer. Kind of lioke recchi in pittsburg.........crosby admires and appreciates him but at 19 or 20 years ols doesn't look up to him.......

Well...The thought of a trade to help this team is exciting. In the real world it doesn't fair well to react under pressure. Gainey in the end will do what he feels right. His answers to the media are perfect. Very level headed and PC. He gives nothing up untill it's a done deal which is the way it should be. He's got his feelers out there but no-one is biting. He'll win in the end. Unfortunatly it will be on his terms and not ours, which actually is probably a good thing. It's so funny how Nashville is a big reflection on what we could have looked like if Montreal was a destination players wanted to be. Kariya, Voukon, Arnott, J.P, Forsberg all players we went after at some point in the last few years. I'm sure Gainey will eventually change that......I hope......It just really sucks that players don't want to be here......I can't help feel that's how players on the team feel to a degree too. Especially when things aren't going good.
