  1. friggin MT!! gionta out there on the 4 on 3 either gally
  2. yep. i can't believe they couldn't wait for Robinson DURING THE OFFSEASON!!! i think that the moron MT was probably threatened having someone smarter than him working under him
  3. with a 4 on 4 why the hell not play Galchenyuk??????
  4. so markov caused a goal and a penalty. If that was Subban he would be sitting for the rest of the night
  5. nice screen by Gally! it's seems like a long time since he scored
  6. nice shot by subban but not enough time for traffic SUBBAN!!!
  7. nice to see Gionta draw a penalty, but why are Pleks and Galchenyuk being hampered by Gionta. There's been some pretty slick passing between Galchenyuk and Pleks and then flubs by Gionta He can't do that. Galchenyuk is too young and inexperienced to be a centre
  8. well, just remember that MT didn't think it would have been useful to have Larry Robinson, since JJ Daigneult has a much better resume Hey if he can have a double shift in OT against the pens, he is surely good enough to defend against Kessel
  9. No that was Subban's fault. He wasn't where Markov passed it and then didn't try hard enough to get back fast enough
  10. so is MT going to bench Markov for the rest of the game???? Knowing MT he'll probably sit Subban for: 1) not being where the pass was going 2) not getting back fast enough 3) not pulling VanReimsdyk down 4) because he's Subban
  11. i wouldn't mind seeing him back in a 6th/7th role, but want to see gorges moved first.
  12. giving time to someone else would be worth it and not having to see his lazy ass would also be worth it. they should try waiving him now and in the summer
  13. Bourque should have passed to Markov there
  14. YES - Maxpac!! Great passing!!! ANother real slick one by Subban!
  15. with our luck its probably matt fraction
  16. POSITIVES: -We are winning a lot more than we deserve to and thanks to a very weak eastern division are well positioned. -We have the following players to for a very strong future core: -Subban -Price -Galchenyuk -Gallagher -MaxPac -We have the following strong veterans to help that future core or to move for a high return: -Pleks -Markov -Gorges (to me is clearly one to move) -DD (a guy we NEED to move ASAP while he is hot) Have the following young players with a potential for a bright future and additions to the future core: -Eller -Tinordi -Beaulieu -White -Bournival -Sorry, don't feel as good enough about the team to just be to be positive, so: NEGATIVES: -None of our core was a shrewd pickup by the current management team (Galchenyuk was a no-brain choice) and I don't see any players they added that give me confidence in them -Moves by GM which are reasons for my pessimism: -Bridge deal to Subban a guy who was a guy who should have been signed to long-term deals, and pre-lockout were in similar positions to Tavares, Kane, Seguin -The GM's most significant free-agent signing is adding another under-sized guy like Briere who was clearly on a downward trajectory, rather than Jagr who would give us the size and would finally be a guy that would have given Pleks a decent winger -Having a coach that every single player that is part of our future core has regressed under him in year 2 -Having a coach who continuously making head scratching decisions like paying under-performig guys like Gionta in over-time, rather than young dynamic players like Galchenyuk, Galleghar, or players having strong games like Briere -A coach who is clearly messing up our best player Subban and is taking is clearly demonstrating his dislike of Subban as an analyst. Last night's game warranted sitting Subban for a few shifts to make a point - not sitting him in OT against one of the best shootout teams in the league -not giving Galchenyuk a good look at centre. Yes, Seguin got the same treatment in Boston, but Galchenyuk is not playing behind Krejci and Bergeron - I could go on with more, but this is supposed to be a positivity thread
  17. we should have signed Jagr when we had the chances the last two years. Now Gionta and a pick is not going to be enough, unless that pick is a first. Gionta is a UFA, why would they want him, unless they are going to make the playoffs - which they have a better chance to do with Jagr than Gionta. I don't like the idea of giving up a 1st, unless it would make us legitimate cup contenders.
  18. 100% agree. We are winning and are where we are in the standings because of how bad the east has been and getting a lot of bounces going our way. There's only so much Subban is going to take. You look at St. Louis in Tampa and how he wants to be moved and have to really be impressed even more with Subban's attitude given how MT treats him. Key point . What the friggin hell has MT won at the NHL level? He cost us a playoff series on his own during his first stint. Got canned i pittsburgh and as you said, all that team did was win the cup.
  19. I really don't see how Eller and Gionta got ice time over Galchenyuk and Briere in OT tonight. Is the strategy to let Eller suck, so they can resign him cheap?? I just don't get it.
  20. I agree with a another poster earlier. If I'm Subban, i don't resign with MT as coach. Budaj flubbed the first two goals. Was he pulled? No. He stayed in the game and came through in the shootout, despite being shaky all night. We were lucky to win tonight and needed that luck because of stupidity by a coach who refuses to try and friggin win, rather than trying not to lose.
