Well there is one White knight they could use, but he is suspended, in the coaches doghouse and unfortunately probably done as a hab. And our best player is now playing the white way. But unless Tinordi suddenly puts everything together in Hamilton and becomes an effective shot blocking physical force like Emelin, their is nobody else that will help turn things around this year. Price needs to be better than the ither team's goalie. The boys need to suck it up, simplify their game, use their speed and get back to outworking the opposition.

I'd bring Kristo in at the start of the playoffs - no need to bring him into the current mess. He could have the adrenaline to give us a bit if boost at that time. He's not what we need right now. We need two dman. One to make up for the loss of Emelin, the other to counter the crap defensive play of Gorges and Markov. Markov is still bringing offense. Gorges is simply wasting a roster spot with his current play. We could also use a big, banging, bruising winger that goes to the net like Galleghar - but we've needed that since giving up on Leclair, and replacing him with a little shit called Recchi - before he want to the Boston school of medicine.

No way I'd unload White. He's had a bad year, but I'd move Moen and gorges before him. I think if we didn't qualify him Boston would sign him in a second.

Who's playing better right now - Eller or DD? I'd like to see what Eller does with either Galchenyuk and maxpac ir Galy squared.

I think the last 5 games or so we are seeing what I expected from MT, after being pleasantly surprised all year. I don't get why DDand Markov are getting as much ice time as they do and why Eller and Galchenyuk haven't got major PP time considering their recent play.

Well I'm leaving for New York in a couple of hours and will probably only be able to listen to the games on TSN if I want to. Given the way the teams playing its just as well. This has been a painful couple of games to watch. The are dangerously coming close to having to play the leafs for 4th place in the last night of the season. I still remember the leafs knocking us out of the playoffs with a 6-5 win a number if years ago. I really think MT needs to make some changes hat should have been made 5 or 6 games ago. How or why DD was given 20+ minutes last night is a bigger mystery than the Caramilk secret.

I guess there has been a big change from when goalies wore the same equipment year after year. There has to be a better way to break in equipment then a critical time this close to the playoffs. But as I also stated in about 30 posts ago. Today's loss is on sloppy to horrific play from Subban, Gorges and Markov. I'm also sick of seeing DD get a pass game after game. Well a PP, last chance to see if this team has any fight left tonight. 5 games ago, I'd still be believing in a comeback.

I do blame Price for this constant equipment changes. Rebound control the last couple of games has been horrible. Is it really necessary for changing equipment this often??? Is newer goalie equipment that flimsy that you need to change it during the year?? If i recall correctly, theodore had the same tendency near the end of his stay in Montreal??

I know we lost a pretty good defensive dman in Emelin, but this is just absolutely pathetic team defense. Everyone from Gorges, Markov and Subban who should be leading our D, have been horrible tonight. Based on the way we are playing against a LOUSY flyers team, we are not only in danger of the Bruins passing us, but can also have the leafs pass us.

I think MT and JM were polar opposites. JM would probably try to change line combos during a shift if possible. While MT has exceeded all my expectations of him, he has been flanking DD with good wingers despite inconsistent play for the majority of the season. Same with PP time. It's time to give others a chance with maxpac and galleghar. The chemistry between maxpac and DD really hasn't been there this season. Given the recent play of Eller and Gally, I think they warrent PP time. I also think that either pleks or Eller deserve a shot of having maxpac with them. Galleghar is the only one playing well on the DD line.

So after another loss to Toronto, who do we want to play in the first round? If we hold off the Bruins, most likely matchup would be either NYR, NYI, or the Sens. NYR are an entirely different team then we faced all year after their deals with SJS and CLB. I don't think we've beaten the Isles this year. Sens would be preferred matchup, but any word on whether Karlsson or Spezza will be back? IMO worst case scenerio is finishing behind the bruins and having to play the leafs. Frankly, i think the leafs are first round fodder, for anyone but else. For some reason, whether them getting up for the HNC games, or us just not caring, the leafs for the most part tend to bring out the worst in the habs. I'm a bit worried. The Pleks and DD lines haven't really been clicking as they should and despite the play of the Eller line, IMO they are still under utilized. On defence, I'm hoping Diaz is back, but if he does, who do we take out? Frankly, I've really liked how Bealieau is playing and would love to see him with Diaz on the 2nd PP unit.

I think DD has had more then enough time to get that line going. I'd rather see Gallagher moved to Pleks line with Ryder and have MaxPac play with Eller and Galchanyuk. Give DD Bourque and Gionta to work with and hope Bourque goes to the net.

I disagree. The team has controlled the play well at times, but it has been all crap shots. They are shooting from the outside and letting reimer see everything.

I think you can probably still trade Gionta during the summer - if he allows them to waive his NTC. Kaberle is worthless and dead cap space that no one wants.

and now gionta. the only line that has done anything is sitting on the bench. there will probably be a fight when they get out of the box. Don't need Subban fighting.

If today's any indication of the type of chances Reimer had to face, both save percentage and GGA would be pretty deceptive. Price has had 4 outlier games - today one of them that has messed up his stats.

they are outplaying and outshooting, but they haven't had a lot of good shots.
