  1. Depends how you define cheap. If Dallas wants a prospect like belieau, or a first, the price is too high.Jagr should have been signed last summer.
  2. Agreed. We could use a crease clearer and puck mover.
  3. I think even dumping Kaberle's and Gionta's contracts (both of whom I'd like to unload) for Vinny would be a horrible move. Vinny's got too many years left at too high of a cap hit (8, 9??)
  4. I'd do that in a second. However Doug Wilson would probably be fired for even considering it.While I think Weber will succeed after leaving Minteeal and Leblanc will be an effective 3rd liner, all three are at a all time low in their value.
  5. Price looked soft on that 2nd goal, but kept the habs in it afterwards and is approaching 40 saves for the night.
  6. big change last two games with the PP, is Subban is playing the point on the other side. I couldn't figure out why MT had on him the right side, when he has always been much more effective on the left side.
  7. well, one thing that separates this year's team, then past team, is there is no quit. Give up a 2 goal lead and get totally out played and then retake the two goal lead again.
  8. I just don't get this team. I don't think I've ever remembered a habs team that has blown as many two goal leads - particularly 2-0 leads as this team.
  9. well they really need Carey to shut the door here!
  10. well, i guess Weber will be sitting next game. THis team really gives up too many leads.
  11. I could see them considering a buy-out next year, before they lose the compliance buy-out option.
  12. You have to be kidding me??? Even if TB offered to take GIonta AND Kaberle's contracts in exchange for Vinny, i wouldn't make that deal, let alone trade Eller or Beaulieu. On the other hand if Gainey was still here he would probably offer, Eller, Bealiau, Gallgher and DD.
  13. I don't get the love for Gill. yes he is a PK specialist. Yes he raises our average hieght. But the guy is useless 5 on 5 and has the physicality of a marshmallow.
  14. I'd like to replace Moen. For a big guy he really doesn't hit much. I think galy jr. hits more then Moen most nights. I wouldn't touch Gill with a 10 foot pole.
  15. Gionta has looked better the last few games, but i really don't see us being tough enough with 3 small guys in the top 6. He still plays hard, but Gionta and Kaberle are two guys i think we should be trying to move. I wonder if the Oilers would want him for leadership - I'd love to take a flyer on Paajarvi, who has been inconsistent, but still looked a lot better this year then last year.
  16. he has got 8 goals now, despite missing time with injuries.
  17. wow! With Marchand and Ference diving away, Julien should just shut up and take the loss like a man. Chara got what he deserved. he did INSTIGATE the fight. Bruins were classless crosschecking guys AFTER goals and not getting called by the refs. If anything the bruins got off lucky fromt he refs. I always hated Julien as the habs coach. There was a reason why a classy guy like Lammarillo in NJ fired him. Julien is a thug and is the perfect coach for this team. Marchand is the not the little ball of hate. He is the little pile of shit. This is the most hypocritical, whiny, classless organization in all of sports. I can't believe the number of comments on this thread from guys saying they respect this franchise. I don't want the habs to be anything like this classless, bully organization. this is the modern version of the broadstreet bullies. For 45 minutes a night they are not playing hockey. Lucic and Chara are primates and belong in a cage. not on the ice.
  18. agree 100%. I liked how when Subban got cross checked in front of our net and the pushing and shoving started, Subban went in and pulled our guys back. Shows a lot of maturity. We will never beat up the bruins and i'm more then happy just beating those gorilla's on the scoreboard. Yep! Cherry would be raving about him every coach's corner and TSN would be talking about the heart of a lion this kid has.
  19. i'd say Chara taking himself out was the turning point.
  20. unbelievable - this team has WAY more character than past habs teams!
  21. agreed. I think that the move by Subban was right when he stopped the guys for engaging with the bruins after he got cross checked. But really, MT is driving me nuts with his PP lines.
  22. THis is what i've been complaining about. We don't bury our chances and get bit in the butt later on for not taking advantage of our chances. It also doesn't help when ou have a bush league rebound machine in goal. Everytime there is a shot on Budaj he is looking behind him. It seems even when he makes a save he has no confidence in himself.
  23. Edmonton has made one good move in the last 5 years - convincing Shultz to sign with them. The Islanders have been an embarrassment with the number of players that have refused to go there. THe way Snow has handled those situations hasn't helped the situation. I applaud Lafontaine for walking away from the franchise becuase of the owner. Snow obviously doesn't have the same principles.
  24. I'm not even considering the two obvious tankers - oilers and islanders. Those franchises are so bush league, they aren't even worth mentioning.
