  1. Like I said, i was a habs - a guy with a shot like Subban or Wiz, i'm shooting at the heads of the Bruins top players. These guys deserve no better
  2. You're actually surprised??? Just wait until Coaches corner on Saterday when that cross dressing drag queen goes to bat for Chara and his friggin bruins! I won't even mention the other CBC anti-habs bruins Stock and Milbury.
  3. If i'm a habs tonight, I don't take slapshots at the net anymore. I take slapshots at the face of cheap shot crap like Lucic, Horton and their top guys like bergeron. This is a team without any honour, they don't deserve to be treated with any!
  4. I'm worried he may have a broken neck. This should be a minimum 10 game suspension. Gillis got 9 games for a hit that wasn't nearly as dangerous. Just wait until saterday when that CBC drag queen clown will defend Chara by saying that MaxPac and the partition is to blame and Chara didn't try to hurt him intentionally. But i'd be surprised if its even 2 games given Campbell's track record.
  5. I don't see him even getting that. After someone gets killed - that should be a 10 game suspension -but the NHL and Campbell in particular not only lacks the balls, but they also lack the brains to make the right call before someone IS killed!
  6. I'd like someone to take out both Chara and Lucic!
  7. I will be VERY surprised if he is suspended - not because he doesn't deserve it, but becuase Campbell only gives meaningful suspensions to scrubs, besides his friggin son plays for the bruins.
  8. typical friggin bruins! what are the fans saying???
  9. Fxck I hAte the friggin bruins - that should be a major and Suspension
  10. Yes - wasn't someone complaing about Eller today???
  11. More BS reffing - how is there know calls on Boychuck, no call on taking down Subban after the kill, no call on Lucic for goalie interference. Finally a call on the bruins
  12. Hey, I had lost all hope of him providing any sort of positive contribution - so it wasn't really meant as a jab. Tonight, his line could have had 4-5 goals with a bit more finish and it was nice to finally see his line be a factor.
  13. Well I don't think you have to be a rhodes scholer to know that - regardless - Don cherry, Mike Milbury, PJ Stock how muc lower can the CBC possibly go??
  14. This was a good win for the boys, but way too many shots given up again. I think this may have been the 2nd or 3rd good game that Gomez played this season. His line could have had a couple of more goals tontight!
  15. DD on the PP! great play by AK46 and mover by DD!
  16. CBC has a feature on Reimer - OMG - not only are they pushing this guy for the rookie of the year, they are comparing his saves/style to Luongo and Kipper On top of that Elliot Freidman in his interview is telling Reimer of tweets for him to be rookie of the year/MVP, blah, blah, blah! it's bad enough when the CBC analysts are calling the habs cochroaches, but then go on and on about a leaf team that is playing with NO EXPECTATIONS or PRESSURE and build up the latest Leaf's next goalie hope they are is pathetic!!
  17. I don't think you are missing anything - DD clearly belongs and is showing that he may have the potential to be a top 6 player if given the chance. I really don't understand why DD and MaxPac aren't given a prolonged chance to play together - they obviously had chemistry together in Hamilton and have looked good the few times they have been together. Playing DD with both MaxPac and Pouliot would give him two big wingers. I;d like to see the following: Cammy-Pleks-Gionta MaxPac-DD-Pouliot Moen-Eller-AK46 Halpern-Gomez-Pyatt/White - this allows Halpern to take the defensive zone faceoffs and who cares if Gomez's wingers aren't producing, since these guys really aren't scorers anyways. Other alternative would be swapping Pouliot and Gionta to ensure there is some size on both of the top lines. IMO Gomez at this point is a lost cause, let's get the Pleks, Cammy and Gionta going.
  18. AK46 flying since leaving the SS Gomez sinking ship line.
  19. Hope they keep putting space between the teams in #7 or #8 - Do whatever it takes to avoid Philly! Would be nice to move up and avoid the Bruins as well.
  20. Well, i wish the best of luck to Higgins, but don't give a rat's ass about Lapierrre.
  21. The leafs - I don't know if its the smog in toronto that makes them so delusional. TSN today had a piece on Reiman being a calder candidate
  22. I've already said that you can't send him down to the minors because of chemistry/morale reasons with 20 games left. If you can trade him with picks for worse picks, i doubt if there would be any chemistry issues, other then possibly with GIonta. Honestly, given how EVERY winger who has played with him has performed, do you think anyone really wants to play with Gomez??? Did you read Arpon Basu's interview on AK46's reply when asked on the difference between playing GOmez and Eller - Ak46 gave a polite but still honest answer. I just don't understand why people would rather have Gomez then our kids at this point, Can anyone name a worse number two or even #1 center in the league given their cap hit and and the cap restraint they put on their team???? I challenge anyone to name even one!! The only one I can think of off hand would be Horcoff, but at least he is still a plus player and is a REAL team leader - albeit its on the worst team in league for the 2nd year in a row. Gomez on the other hand ranks 833 on his plus/minus - 833 for cripes sake!!!! For a self profressed wuss who shies away from physical contact he takes a lot of stupid penalties. I'm no stats guy, but i'd like to see his giveaway stats, because it seems everytime he leads the rush into the other team's zone he gives up the puck!! What exactly would we be losing by getting rid of Gomez and seeing what the kids can do with front line players??? Chicago and Philly have carried lousy salaries as long as they had to - then they dumped them as fast as they could. They kept Huet and his $5M on the bench when they could get by paying less then a $1M to the backup who replaced him, they also were able to keep Campbell while they could still pay Seabrook and the other young defencemen far less money. I can see them dumping Campbell next year (IF he doesn't have NMC). Philly has dumped free agent contacts that didn't perform when they had a chance to get someone better (i.e. dumping Roenick to LA after signing him as UFA, despite giving him a NTC), and they aren't the worse for it. same with the Rangers, Sather has been trading or dumping as many of his dumb signings as he can, yet NYR are still a prime destination for free agents. I know you guys keep saying we can't get rid of Gomez without having a viable replacment, but again, tell me in a SALARY CAP WORLD, where no one in their right mind would take Gomez in a regular hockey deal, how do you propose to replace Gomez, without getting rid of him first????? The only way you can replace Gomez is to take someone else's garbage back in return . This would be something like trading Gomez for Souray and keep him buried in the minors, or Dumont with the mindset that one more sucky or injury filled year for Dumont would be better then 3 more of Gomez. Gomez has been in steady decline since he signed his big deal. Yes he had a better playoffs then the regular season. Leighton had an incredible playoffs (albeit behind a very good team), but guess what the flyers didn't care, shortly after he returned from his injury, they got rid of him to get BETTER - which is exactly what I was saying the Habs should have done last summer with Gomez. If I had to pick who I'd rather have as my GM right now, PG or Holgrom, i'd take Holgrom, because he is doing what's necessary to make his team better, even if it means being "ruthless". I said last summer I wanted the habs to get rid of Gomez, don't care about the playoffs, the guy was an anchor that pulls the team down. The right decision would have to have gotten rid of him then - would it have been ruthless - hell yeah, but this is a business. You have to do what's best for the long-term good of the team. A business, where Redden is making $7M to ride buses in the minors. If he hates it so much, he can refuse to report, have his contract voided and sign for a contract that he can actually live up to. Simple as that. Isn't it ruthless of Redden to not looking in the mirror and not want to throw up when he thinks he is making more then the whole friggin team he is playing on, without having enough shame to have his contract voided!!!! if that was me, hell i'd be to embarresed to be playing night in night out knowing i'm not earning my keep and i'd do whatever was necessary to get back up to the NHL - even if that meant giving up the cushy $7m i was getting for being a minor leaguer. I had to laugh at the crock of shit that Elliotte Freidman wrote on what a great guy that Redden is and that he deseves better then the treatment he was getting and deserved a chance to play out of his current situation. Typical CBC crap - and to think Freidman is one of their better reporters Lastly as far as being too negative - hey, i call it like i see it. I want this team to be an elite team and am sick of them being middle of the pack. While its better then being the emberassing doormats of the late 90's, i want the habs to be perennial contenders. THis year, unless someone knocks of Philly for us, does anyone really think WE can beat them??? The only real hope i have for this years playoffs is that we can beat those friggin bruins and wipe the smirk of the faces of those two gorillas - Lucic and Chara.
  23. I don't think you could send him down at this point in the season - I don't care that there is no replacment, just would be lousy for team chemistry/morale to do with 20 games left. But AGAIN, unless someone stupid is willing to take him off his hand, or we take a stupid contract in return, we CANNOT just replace GOmez. To replace him we HAVE to GET RID of him first!!! So if we offered say Gomez, Carle and our 2nd round pick for say someone like say the Islanders for their 4th or 5th pick RIGHT NOW and the other team accepted, i'd do the deal before the other team changed their mind. That then frees up the cap room for us to actually replace Gomez. But I wouldn't be averse to trading him and picks for lousier picks to get him off our books. Again, how do you propose to replace Gomez without getting rid of him first???? You can't just do a regular hockey deal to get rid of him unless we find someone as desperate for change and willing to gamble like Gainey was in 2009.
  24. The gazette actually had an interview with Robinson. In it he said that he contacted Gainey and possibly the outgoing president in the winter about a assistant coach position and was told to wait. Then PG came in, Robinson called the habs again and was left hanging and then the habs went through all of their issues (Hamilton coaching changes, possible move for Muller, Pearn possibly going to Edmonton NAIT) and in all this he was left hanging and then was never contacted when all the positions fell in place, so he eventually got tired of waiting and went to the devils. The story really reflected VERY badly on habs management.
