  1. A nice win for the Habs tonight. Refreshing seeing Price back there as it was a long time coming. Looked decent tonight and I'm sure he will look even better as he gets more games in. Lehkonen with his second goal in four games is not bad production for a rookie. I really like his work ethic out there. Coaches seem to trust him so that's quite an accomplishment especially considering he's still adjusting to the smaller ice surface. Bring on the Bruins
  2. Weber with his first in a Habs uniform. All caused by a not so smart decision by Ryan White by getting the extra penalty. That's something we are all familiar with except this time we were on the positive end. Galchenyuk right after. 4-0 now!!
  3. Technically not a scratch tonight as he's still suspended and wont be eligible to play until their Sunday game vs. the Rangers. Didn't know where to put him in the game thread but didn't want to leave him out as I know he's everyone's favourite player . When back I'm sure he's destined for it though.
  4. I think if Price is 100% you gotta go to him since they've been waiting so long to get him back in a regular season game. I doubt Price is quite there yet, so with Montoya playing so well it gives you the opportunity to give Price that extra rest. I'm sure if we were getting sub par goaltending there would be more urgency to get Price back. Great performance by Montoya tonight and he looked pretty happy to get the shutout.
  5. Beauty goal. Glad that it counted. Guess they figured Gallagher was pushed in enough to negate the goalie interference. Really happy for Radulov to score his first goal in the home opener no less. Patches is back on the bench. Even better
  6. Ya i know that. More of a sarcastic comment due to everyone's complaint back when they played together
  7. Scores!!!!! but uh oh Desharnais from Pacioretty. Hopefully that doesn't become Therien's go to combination again. Nice pass by Patches though.
  8. Still hoping its Condon since it would be nice to see how he tries to respond against us and the goalie who replaced him. The only confirmation I've seen is from Marc-Antoine Godin of le Journal de Montreal and it seemed like more of a projection. Leftwinglock and DailyFaceoff still don't have confirmations. Condon along with two others were the only Pens to take the optional skate this morning.
  9. Oh whoops didn't know anyone else was going to post one up. Your saved this time Look forward to seeing your GDT the next time its required
  10. Ya definitely caught my eye as well. He's working hard out there. Hope he continues to see time on the 2nd line even if he doesn't get rewarded from the get go. He did also got a bit of time on the power play but that was on our 3rd pp unit of Desharnais and Carr.
  11. 45-28-7-2 99 points 3rd in the Atlantic 12th in the League 225 goals scored Got it in just in time. I'm using my last years predictions as well. Hoping this year the injuries don't derail us.
  12. Now that's a pretty goal. Galchenyuk with sweet hands and a nice pass from Radulov on his knees.
  13. Pateryn sure likes to change his number. This year it's #8, last year was #6, and the year before was #64. His ideal number must of always been #8 but was taken by Prust and then Kassian. Just takes some getting used to. Habs are a bit under matched in this one but still ended up with the lead after one. Haven't seen much from Lehkonen yet but hope he has a good game. He and Sergachev are the players I'm most interested to see.
  14. By those cuts it looks like they see Lindgren ahead of Fucale on the depth chart. Fair to assume that Fucale will be the one to start in Brampton.
  15. Oh agree 100% it's coming. Just wish there was enough backlash to make them think twice but so far they say that people are taking positively to it. Whether that's true or not is another question. Teams will make less on those ads in the arenas though cause of it since the ads won't get as much TV time.
  16. Canada is well on their way to a great showing at the Tournament. USA is obviously the biggest disappointment of the Tournament and are taking quite a bit of heat for it. My biggest pet peeve about this tournament so far other than the gimmick format, has to be the use of the CGI (virtual) boards for advertising during the telecast. I find it to be a huge distraction. The ads keep changing during every camera transition and it is of great annoyance. You get glimpses of the regular boards during replays or from certain cameras. The technology is not without its flaws either. The colour of the CGI boards doesn't match the colour of the regular boards so you see a contrast. The CGI also goes glitchy whenever a player sprays up snow near the boards since it must work by omitting any moving object from getting covered up by the CGI. Anyways that's my mini rant. I really hope they never bring the technology to the "real" games as it takes away from the enjoyment of the viewing experience.
  17. I actually thought it was him but when I googled an image earlier all it showed was him wearing 31. Threw me off. Now looking again it's an image from him playing in Hamilton. That's a tough one to get for sure. I remember when the Habs had Michaud and Eric Fichaud. So close of names and we had them at the same time in in Hamilton during 2003-04 season.
  18. Mr. Tom Pyatt. Those clues helped quite a bit. Still missing a 95. Can't think of that one.
  19. You can scratch Gabriel Bourque off your list as he signed a PTO with the Avs tonight. Guess they really want a Bourque on their team as they gave Rene a PTO last week. It worked out for them the last time they tried it when they picked up Ray Bourque and won the cup.
  20. http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/max-pacioretty-p-k-subban-trade-shea-weber-montreal-canadiens-nashville-predators-captain/ Interview with Patches and he discusses the Subban trade a bit. To me this puts to end any rumours of the two players hating each other. You don't call Subban 5 minutes after the trade if you don't like the guy.
  21. Haha seeing that name on the suggestions would definitely irk Bergevin. I saw someone suggest a name of the Maroons or Wanderers. Though I really like that idea of playing off that history I don't think that would fly in Laval as both those teams were created for the English speaking residents of Montreal. Though St. John's knew of this from the beginning, I still feel bad for them. Hopefully they can find someone else to play in their arena.
  22. Wonder how Weber is gonna like getting booed in Montreal. He doesn't have a NTC or a NMC so that leaves us a tiny flexibility. What's next? I hear Yakupov is available. We can send Galchenyuk for him. Doesn't sound out of the realm anymore with Bergevin
