  1. Haha a good way to put it. Ya I think it's been pretty good overall tonight as well. Only one mistake I can remember is when they indentied Galchenyuk carrying the puck as Gallagher. If that's the only one its been a great broadcast compared to the usual HNIC commentators.
  2. You lost your train of thought lol. Your excused when its a moment like that.
  3. That's not goalie interference. Character was applying pressure to Gallagher. Things are definitely not going are way today
  4. Agree 100%. He's giving up on plays well before he should. Get it together captain. Hope he has a big third period
  5. Ya they really need to get him back in there. The second line at least looked decent when he was playing. Lately they have been invisible by bringing in all these fourth liners to audition for the spot. I personally thought Semin was playing pretty good for the Habs. You could see how much skill he had but just wasn't getting rewarded. These many games being scratched just isn't fair. Ya that's a smart move by the Bruins. Rask has a terrible record versus us. Hopefully we can get to Gustavsson as well. The Bruins will also scratch Zinaldo and bring in Quebec native Max Talbot. I'm good with that trade off as we don't need Rinaldo taking any cheap shots.
  6. Ya I would of been happier with a historical jersey. From a business perspective though its probably more advantageous to create a new one as it will lead to more jersey sales. The Habs used most of their Historical jerseys during their centennial season meaning they have already tapped into that market.
  7. Thats the start to the third that we needed. Hope the boys keep it up. Cant sit back now with a two goal lead.
  8. Weise with the tip in on the powerplay. Who would of thought at the start of the year that he would be leading the Habs in goal scoring. Pretty crazy. 3rd in the league.
  9. You got your wish. Byron shifts up to that line and Smith Pelly goes back down to the fourth with Flynn and Mitchell.
  10. He is quite fast. Has had a really good night against his old club. Must not of been too happy about being waived by them. Important goal to get early in the third. Need to play hard and not allow Calgary back in it.
  11. Its really time to get Tinordi and Pateryn in the lineup. Not that our D has played terrible or anything but these two guys will be really rusty after having not played in such a long time. At least give them a game once in a while to keep them in game shape. Plus we really have to see what Tinordi can bring or in. In the the worst case scenario at least showcase him a bit for other teams. The more he sits the more his already lower value goes down. Anyways last game hurt quite a bit. Hopefully them come out flying and make last game vanish out of their memory. Go Habs Go.
  12. Fleisch the Man!!! That's two games in a row. Nice to get from the third line.
  13. Not a bad pickup for the Habs. Cost us nothing and will give us the option to send DLR to the AHL where he can hopefully develop more. I'm sure injuries will come up at some point in the year where DLR will be able to play more than a 13th forward or Fourth line. That's when you call him up. For Byron it gets him closer to home since he grew up in Ottawa. He will wear #41 for the Habs. Do you remember the last player to wear it for Montreal?
  14. Ya so far in the interviews of all the Habs players it seems like they will support him in any way that they can. I feel Montreal has the tightest group of players in all of the NHL so this is the best situation for Kassian to be in. I'm sure he will get support from his former teammates around the league as well since they all have pretty good things to say about him. Wish him the best. Hopefully he gets the help he needs.
  15. 45-28-7-2 99 points 3rd in the Atlantic 12th in the League 225 goals scored
  16. Wasn't the prettiest of goals. Letang sort of batted it in to his own net with his hand. Pittsburgh gets it right back on a lucky goal of their own
  17. Mike Condon is going to play the entire game for the Habs tonight. Hopefully he does well. I've felt more comfortable with him in the net over Tokarski.
  18. I'm a fan of this signing because there is really no risk in the signing. Worst case scenario, if he's terrible you send him down to the minors. Since his cap hit is so low when you put him in the minors his cap hit to the Habs will only be 175K. Essentially nothing. If he has a great season then all the better. We needed someone else for our top 6, and throughout most of his career he has been that player. If he has a great season and the Habs want to resign him, they better be sure to give him no more than one year deals. He could also be a stop gap for Scherbak. This will give him a year in the minors to learn the professional game. Then after that we welcome Sherbs into the fold.
  19. Well 'dlbalr' was right when he posted in the Bournival signing when talking about Tinordi to not "be surprised to hear of him signing in the near future". Two days is pretty near future. Very few details at this point but is for 1 year and is a two way contact. He will need to go through waivers to get to the AHL and would most certainly be claimed if the Habs tried it.
  20. I'm fine with the deal now. Prust was over paid for our bottom six. Kassian should be able to fill Prusts shoes minus leadership.
  21. A project. What does Kassians contract look like? Hopefully not too much going the other way
  22. Saad to Columbus. Did not see that one happening. Doesn't look like the greatest return but they obviously feared a team sending an offer sheet tmrw. Wonder what this means for Sharp?
  23. The Habs have announced that they have re-signed Brian Flynn to a 2 year contact. I assume it will be quite cheap. Still waiting on details. This should come as a surprise to no one. Makes for a decent 13th forward.
