  1. Would put as at 95pts, and probably in the Playoffs?!?! home v Chicago, at NYI, at Tor, home v Ottawa, at NYR, at Boston, home v. Pitts Gonna Be Tough! We gotta get in! CAREY! CAREY! CAREY!
  2. Florida has @Dallas, home v Ottawa, home v. Atlanta, home v Pittsburgh, at Philly, at Atlanta, and home versus Washington I'm guessing they win 4 or 5 of those matchups, giving them 93 pts! Montreal has home v Buffalo, home v Chicago, at NYI, at Tor, home v Ottawa, at NYR, at Boston, home v. Pitts I'm guessing they win 6 games, giving them 97 Pts! I'm FREAKING out... WE GOTTA GET IN! CAREY! CAREY! CAREY!
  3. Sweet! I'm not sure he can play back to backs right now and not be totally exhausted. Either way, I like our chances tomorrow night. We win and the Sabres are done!
  4. Big game tonight, especially with Florida having a tough one. Best case scenario... we are 4 points up with a game in hand after tonight. They would need to make up 5 pts (possibly 7 if we win game in hand) in 7 games. C"MON BOYS!!! CAREY! CAREY! CAREY!
  5. A Montreal WIN and a Florida loss would be HUGE tonight! C'mon Boys... WE CAN DO IT! Any lineup word yet? PLEASE... C.Price in net? He's our guy, Bob, he's our guy! CAREY! CAREY! CAREY!
  6. What a beauty game. I've been saying it for weeks, kovalev koivu and Tangs needs to play together, and boom! Metro had a suspect game, maybe out Higgins in the centre spot between Dandy and Stewart? Other than that I wouldn't change a thing. WELCOME BACK MONTREAL. WE'VE MISSED YOU GUYS! And say what you want about Price, but that glove save on Kovalchuk when it was 3-2 was HUGE! We scored a minute later to go up by 2. You think if that goes in do the Habs fall apart???????????
  7. Just for the record.. I'm still rooting for Ted Nolan. Good with young guys and I like his style. But my gut tells me it'll be Patrick Roy behind the bench. The owner wants a french superstar, so unless Gainey can get one via trade, I think the owner will just sign one!
  8. I agree... if Price plays good tonight, then he should stay in the rest of the way to keep getting better. Eventually a good goalie works out the kinks and plays great again!
  9. All I am saying is... This year, the Habs are only going to go as far as our goalie carries them. There is just no passion with most of our forwards/defencemen. So, who has the best chance of carrying us the furthest? Halak is good, but he is not going to steal a series for us. IF Price can get out of his funk and gain some support from us "fans", then his potential is unlimited. He could win a series or two or three, or get swept out in round 1. either eay, better to give him the shot of winning four then knowing Halak might win one or two.
  10. And as far as starting him at home... Brilliant. The fans need to get behind this kid and let him know that we support him and that he is our guy. I was disappointed a few games back when Price was playing well and made a couple huge saves and the crowd did not throw out the "Carey, Carey, Carey.." chant. WE NEED TO DO THAT TONIGHT. Lets stop bashing this team and start supporting it.
  11. WHAT? Are you guys kidding? Carey should be the tender for the rest of the season. The only way he gets better is to start playing games and winning and having the team play well in front of him. Halak is a good goalie, but he is not the future of this team. Yes, he played well for us over the period of a few weeks, but he is not the guy that is going to be in our net next year, and he is not the guy that has a "1993 Patrick Roy" type of run in him. IF Carey can regain some confidence and start playing well then anything is possible. If we are going to get into the playoffs and beat the Bruins, it'll be Carey Price who leads us to victory. Answer this question... Is Halak capable of beating the Bruins or Devils in a 7 game series? I'm not sure! Is Price capable of beating ANY team in the NHL if he improves? Absolutely.
  12. I LOVE IT! Finally, a lineup that makes sense! (I would probably put Higgins on the 3rd and move Kosto down to the 4th, but that line has been hot so maybe not!) Anyways, Habs gonna get hot at the right time, I can feel it! Any idea of who the tender will be? If it is Price then it is the exact lineup I wanted. PLEASE Bob, give Carey the reigns!
  13. I haven't read this entire thread so please do not kill me if I am reiterating what somebody else already said, but why is nobody talking about Ted Nolan as the next HC. I'm not sure the dude knows any french, but I am DAMN sure he can coach. And I think our players would fit his style pretty well.
  14. Nope, no Senators. They would have to win out to finish at 94pts. Not gonna happen. Habs will be in 8th, bring on the big bad Bruins!
  15. I agree... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put the Kosty's together with Pleks. Lineup should be... A.Kost - Pleks - S.Kost Kovalev - Koivu - Tangs Lats - Laps - Higgins Kosto - Metro - Pacs
  16. We got two home games against Atlanta and Tampa, while Florida plays at home to Carolina, then at Buffalo and at Philly. If we dont make some room by the end of Thursday night... we's in trouble!
  17. While Halak played decently over a few games, he is NOT going to win us a round in the playoffs! The only way this team is going to do anything is if the Price of old returns... I'm not knocking Halak, because I love what he did for us before, but he is not an elite goalie. And I know Price is not right now either, but he can be. Bob needs to tell him and the fans that we are going to win or lose with Carey. And PLEASE... Call up S.Kostitsyn. Andrei hasn't been the same since he left!
  18. YES it would work. Kovalev can finish, and Tangs can finish, And koivu IS FINNISH. hahaha Lame joke, I know. But I think they would mesh well. It isn't hard to finish if the right guys are working together to create chances.
  19. IN. 1 - Jersey vs. 8 Carolina 2- Boston vs. 7. MONTREAL 3 - Washington vs. 6. NY Rangers 4 - Philly vs. 5. Pitts Winners: 1 Jersey vs. 7 Montreal 3 Washington vs 5 Pitts Winners: 3 Washington vs 7 Montreal Montreal in 6! BOOK IT!
  20. GEEZ... Those lines DO NOT WORK! Kovalev should be playing with Tanguay and Koivu. We need this win boys... um, I have no idea... 3-1 Habs!
  21. Well, a point is a point. With Buffalo and Florida losing it is actually a pretty big point! Like I said long ago, Habs just gotta get healthy and get the right players in the lineup. Lats played a solid game, but we need Tangs out there with Koivu. I thought Dags and Pacs were good as well, so I think a lineup like this might suffice... Tangs-Koivu-Kovalev S.Kost-Pleks-A.Kost Lats-Laps-Higgins Dags-Pacs-Stewart (Let the Kids play, they give it 100% all night) We could sub in Kosty and Metropolit. They just dont fit into the system right now!
  22. Need this one boys... Gotta say, if Kovy is on a line with Higgins and Lapierre, I LOVE IT! Those two work hard! PLEASE BOB... Bring back S.Kostitsyn! A.Kost - Pleks - S.Kost Tangs - Koivu - Kovalev Latendresse - Laps - Higgins Stewart - Metropolit - Kostops (Dags and Pacs can be subs!) HABS WIN 4-0!
  23. Habs will be fine when the get healthy. Having Tangs and Lats back in the lineup is going to do wonders for this team. We will get into the playoffs and then it is anybodys game! Too much negativity coming from this board. We have a good team. Once the playoffs get here everything is going to be great. I wonder if we have seen the last of S.KOst this year. I hope not. I think he could be a major contributor if he was paired up right. Kovalev - Koivu - Tangs Kosty - Pleks - Kosty Higgins - Laps - Lats Pacs - Kostops - Dags That is a great lineup folks... just be thankful we aren't the Thrash or the Leafs or somebody else who is gonna be hurting for a few years.
  24. If we add Sundin I still think Chips stays with the team. Montreal would have to move some of its role players (Begin, Kostops, etc..) Could be... Tanguay - Sundin - Kovalev S.Kost - Pleks - A. Kosty Higgins - Koivu - Latendresse Laraque - Chips - Lapierre/Begin/Kostops WOW! What a lineup.
  25. C'mon now... whoever said what Montreal needs is a top 2 centre is absolutely RIGHT! We dont need a scoring winger like Selenne. If Sundin wants to take his time then let him. And if he goes elsewhere I don't think Montreal should spend the money just because they have it. Wait for a team to tank and look to be sellers, and then trade for a Centre. Keep the cap space and wait. And we certainly do not want to trade a bunch of our better prospects for somebody to come in and play one year. Montreal is going to be competitve for years to come. Lets not jeopardize that by going after "the guy" when our team is good enough to win it!
