  1. I was going to write all of this but you beat me to it
  2. Yes, lost in the discussion is that we have basically destroyed the opposition in the second and third periods. 12-0 I think if we score the first goal as well. Perhaps that could be a sign of a team that makes proper adjustments throughout the game?
  3. Don't let logic get in the way of some of the proposals on here. Some think that with just the snap of the fingers that any move can be made because they want it to
  4. I had a dream last night that we got Jagr. I think that is as credible a source as most of them out there.
  5. P.K's way of showing the holiday spirit : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUhxVG9_zwA
  6. Some great replies and different opinions on that topic, thanks. I definitely agree that winning faceoffs are important, I just personally think that the percentages are blown out of proportion, clutch wins are what really matters. If Manny is THE guy that will certainly win a crucial draw, then I think he is deserving of a roster spot for sure.
  7. Merry Christmas habs rule Somebody needs to quote this though so he knows that the idiot wishes him well
  8. Thanks for your in depth thoughts on the matter
  9. Looks like McCarron was cut from team USA. All I seen of him lately has been destroying some Bruins in preseason and looking up his impressive stats this year in the O. Wonder why he didn't make it
  10. Am I the only guy who thinks faceoff percentage is highly overrated? I mean, most of the league is a coin flip one way or the other who wins. There usually are only a couple really important draws that happens each game, and even if you lose the draw, it doesn't exactly prelude to a goal being scored. There are dozens and dozens of faceoffs each game (would be interested to know the actual amount) but only a few goals scored. How often does a goal occur because of a won or lost faceoff? Not very often. Possession changes constantly throughout the game. It's just something I can't seem to wrap my head around. If a guy is winning 48% he sucks, but if he is winning 52% he is good. Perhaps someone can enlighten me on this apparently important statistic
  11. Rather than trade roster players, I think that MB will do as he did last year and trade either a prospect or pick for a hired gun.
  12. Do not want to see Price as captain at all. I was wavering more towards Subban before the start of the year, but Max has come on strong so far and is establishing himself as the leader on the ice. However, there is still a ton of hockey left to be played before they name the captain. I want to see what happens in the playoffs when the games really mean something to see who emerges.
  13. And somewhere on a Leaf forum it is Gardiner, Lupul and a 2nd Zero chance EDM trades their best young player for anything remotely close to that deal. The conversation begins with Pac or Chucky, and we don't make that deal either.
  14. What a shot by DD Also great move by MT by putting Weise out there after Pac went down. He was throwing his weight around to piss off the Ducks and he drew them into a penalty
  15. Oh yeah, there is no telling how his career will go. But just in terms of the games I have seen from goalies that age, he is really good.
  16. I'm just going to leave this Tinordi clip right here for all to enjoy http://www.habseyesontheprize.com/2014/12/18/7414137/jarred-tinordi-destroys-2-players-seconds-apart
  17. For whatever reason, the position of goaltender is of the utmost importance to this franchise. You can directly link our past success to the performance of the goaltending. Whether it's Roy, Halak or even Theodore, we seem to go as the goalies go. As soon as we drafted Carey Price, he became my favorite player. I was one of the few who wasn't worried through his learning curves and seen the big picture. He has won at every level and one day will hoist Lord Stanley's Cup over his head. This player will go down as one of the best of his generation, and for that, he is the most untouchable Hab in my opinion.
  18. Fucale is a beauty. I've seen tons of Q games in the last decade or so, and I believe he is the best goalie to come out of there since Crawford.
  19. How about that hockey game? Yes, hockey was played and our team won! I enjoyed watching our players play and put the puck in the net. I am happy about that and I hope we win our next hockey game. Watching and cheering for my favorite hockey team is something that I like, especially when they are doing well. And I also find it fun to talk about it with others, whether it be someone I see in person or maybe people that share that common interest on an internet fan forum.
  20. I'm getting pretty tired, as I'm sure many others are, reading post after post about Therrien. Chucky gets his first NHL hat trick and somehow the discussion goes to how incompetent MT is. "He stumbled upon" putting Chucky with Patches? No, he didn't have to do that at all. It doesn't matter what the thread is these days, it all comes back to how terrible he is. Perhaps a different forum is more suited for these biased and repetitive posters
  21. I'm quite sure there are 29 GM's across the league licking their chops at a potential Edmonton fire sale.
  22. Lol. Fires the first shot, can't take the retaliation, tells admin. And that fully justifies my post about being a two year old
  23. Thank god you won't be responding, it's like talking to my 2 year old. The 2 threads have gone on as long as they have because the most active posters in them are anti-Therrien, all 3 of you. Absolutely delusional if you think it is an even split. But you have no problem talking about me or my posts to someone else, as if the internet world and myself can't see them. At least that is like a high school kid, not a 2 year old.
  24. There hasn't been anything from the HabsRule account pertaining to this discussion that registers on the intelligent meter. In fact, the intelligent responses on this discussion are from people that have rational explanations and don't let personal indifferences dicatate whether or not they think the current coach is doing well. For someone blasting another about actually reading posts, you have failed miserably by paraphrasing what I've wrote and coming to your own conclusion. Forgive me if I fail to understand your logic on this matter, I have only read hundreds of the same posts over and over but can't seem to make any sense of it. Team is good despite the coach, team is bad because of the coach. Read any of the Cucumber's logical posts and respond to those if you can. You are definitely in the minority of people when it comes to this matter, just like when you wanted to trade Markov.
