I can't imagine they're going to keep McCarron up, he'll never get in the lineup with Ott, Martinsen and Flynn rotating on the 4th line. McCarron needs to play top minutes in the AHL, enough already.

So after another amazing deadline day, here's what THIS year's starting lineup will be IMO: Pacioretty - Danault - Radulov King - Galchenyuk - Gallagher Lehkonen - Plekanec - Shaw Byron - Ott - Mitchell Martinsen Markov - Weber Emelin - Petry Beaulieu - Benn Davidson, Nesterov Price Montoya Flynn gets waived and McCarron is sent down.

Other than the PK press conference its been a boring day.

I agree. My guess is MB has at least offered Gallagher, Beaulieu, Scherbak and a combination of picks: 1st & 2nd round - for Duchene. Sakic is going to swing for a homerun here and most likely wait until the summer before trading him.

That 4th line is so terrible it makes me yonder for Ronan, Chorske and Petrov.

Just checked his stats: 10, 20 - 30 pts in 53 games. Still, he's a good playoff performer and knows MTL well during playoff insanity.

I keep wondering who MB could be targeting to boost the top 6 this Wednesday and Mike Cammalleri came to mind today. He'd slot in nicely on the second line: Cammalleri - Galchenyuk - Gallagher Would it make sense to bring him back? At what cost? McCarron, Desharnais and a 2nd round picks?

Agreed. Glad MB stayed away from that. Still hoping he makes a move before Tuesday though.
