Bournival is getting almost same icetime Galchenyuk got last year and what Gallagher got for most of last year. And someone mentioned Bournival was a -2 because he had to play against their 2nd line and I am not sure what was the point? And why would you watch CBC crap if you don't like it? I simply don't watch any early games or pregame on CBC (butternuts Don Cherry stays awake and shows up on a Western 2nd game telecast once in a while, which is very annoying, but infrequent thank Harper) -
Bournival is basically getting same icetime that Galchenyuk did last year, what is the issue?

In those couple shifts he and White managed to be -2. -
So, say Habs likely pick in the 16th-to 24th range, Perlini, Lyamkin or Jacobs might at this stage be most likely Hab pick. And all three of those seem like would be a nice addition.

thanks

His -9 was worrisome anyways. A Swedish version of a MAB, rocket of a shot-good PP specialist, but weak in own end.
-
Which Mayer will show up today? What kind of player is Owens?
-
Lots of fights on youtube, maybe he and Crisp will be 2 truculent additions for Hamilton this spring?
-
No big hurry. Will be injuries on defense and will be call-ups. Wont hurt these guys to play another 15 games in AHL and see how they look in Jan.
-
I wonder if Shinkaruk would of been picked by Habs if Canucks passed on him, or did they have heart set on the big guy? Klimchuk-Erne-Hartman seem like would of been smarter picks. Oh well, maybe McCarron is like Tinordi and will just take a bit of time to adjust to OHL? And he did impress me during pre-season with Habs and seemed to play smart and didnt try to do to much.
-
Not sure all categorize him as a goon, but I do, he was McDavid's protector and chipped in with some unexpected offense. And McCarron seems to have his heart set on being a fighter. And maybe more that I was not fond of these 2 choices and still don't see as smart picks at all, Crisp would likely of been available much later in draft and McCarron should of gone about the same place as his hero Lucic, mid-late 2nd round. But, I hope I am out to frickin lunch and Timmins/Dudley/Bergevin have chosen wisely, draft is a bit of crapshoot to begin with.

Martin Lapointe; said Pateryn's main issue is consistency and has been told by management to play a certain way (more emotion/physicality) and "protect the house" and if he dosent he will find himself exactly where he is right now. Lapointe has similar comments on Leblanc, but said his main issue was attitude. He needs to be more like Bournival and create opportunities for himself and play more physical/aggressive.

Ott makes less than DD or Bourque and would be 7th highest paid of Habs forwards, which seems good value for gritty vet 3rd line centre rental (or extend him would be fine by me). Just don't think he can fit under the cap and whether Habs would be highest bidder for his services.
-
Just see Ott with 8 hits in a nothing game for Sabres, getting stitched up and think he would be a great 3rd line centre fit between Moan-Prust, Bourque-Bournival, or any bottom six duo come playoff time.
-
Have you seen (heard of) any of Collberg/de la Rose's play lately? Both are locks for Swedish world junior team eh?
-
I still see skilled player like Oliver Bjorkstrand racking up almost 2points/game in WHL and question choice of Crisp over a player like that (and McCarron over numerous skilled kids taken afer he was)? But Crisp may be the best of the 2 goons taken by Habs. I hope Crisp is better than a Andrew Conboy or Ian Shultz, but dont expect it. Will see how he looks next fall in Hamilton as a pro. I think Habs drafted 2 big goons, to appease French media/fans call for size, which is not smart, but will see if home run swings pay off within a few years.

Great to see Thomas producing after lay off. Announcer was saying Ellis has looked great lately. Lapointe basically said he wants to see Pateryn and Leblanc finish their hits, be more aggressive, win puck battles and to defend better. He said Nystrom wasn't ready for physicality of AHL and maybe KHL time will be good for him. Nygren was homesick and home he went and the -9 was not a good sign anyways.
-
Crisp had goal and nice backhand shoot-out winner.
-
No, the Wings beating Bruins 4-0 in 3rd period is worth watching, oh I mean 5-0, sweeeeet!
-
Come on.......Ogie Oglethorpe don't need no warm up.
-
Martin Lapoint had some candid comments on LL and Pateryn.
-
Good to see DD get a break, Pacioretty gift wrapped one for him earlier.
-
Emelin and Murray have tossed a couple nice hits.
-
Slick play by Murray, so nimble
-
Do you know if Ellis is improved this year or still 3rd pairing at best? Pateryn with 3 of 10 shots, must still be best performing d-man on team?
