Interesting result of HabsWorld poll. Pateryn chosen by 1/2 of respondents to be 1st d injury call up, over Tinordi & Beaulieu. I agree, but it just shows quite a change in opinion from September. But; Tinordi is throwing some big hits lately and currently on a 3 game "fight streak" in Hamilton, so I am sure Bergevin/Dudley notice his recent "aggressive" play and approve.

3rd or 4th straight game with a fight for Tinordi and some big hits. Torharski playing well, would he be a credible NHL back-up if Price/Budaj ever was hurt? And when Dietz got run, all his linemates stood up for him, so some positive stuff I guess

I think de la Rose will be a NHLer and Fucale looks very good and they took a home run swing with the big guy and Dudley/Bergevin/Timmins know a bit more than I do and I agree, time will tell and give the kid a couple years to work on his skating and in the gym and he may be a power forward of some sort?

I think McCarron would of been a fine mid-late 2nd round pick, but still a bottom six player, long shot to be a 2nd liner. But I am not quite as down on his stock as Commandant is.

I think Gionta is worth more, along with Briere, to the team in the playoffs than their return on the market. But even if let Gionta walk or resign at a much lower salary, im OK with that, but simply wont trade a Captain very often on a team doing well.

Yes, I shouldn't of said "fit, just would be a nice player to add and yes not a good trade fit and I know I did suggest trading Tomas for him, but he is simply too good all-round player to give up in his prime. Which is why I recently thought Ott may fit 3rd centre role, but Habs don't seem to need any centre at moment, nor much of upgrade anywhere, cept minor tweek maybe? But still like Stastny as a player, just no where near his current salary.

Always have liked Stastny and might be a nice young centre, good on faceoffs, that would fit very well on Habs team, but $6.6m salary is a bit much, unless he would take a cut in pay for an extension?

Hate to admit it, but Edwards even in Bruin blownout vs Wings, gave full credit to Detroit and does do some good work, but like any Bruin fan, he likely does hold a ingrained hate for Habs, which is no different than RDS/Gazette guys and their take on Bruins.

Irrlevent, if say, Marchand did exact same, "Non-Slewfoot" to Markov allowing Lucic to walk in and score, i think it wouldn't be dismissed so quickly. But, bad calls a plenty in the NHL and likely balance out in long run.

Are they not contending right now? Must have almost the best record vs Western teams dont they? Golatending cant beat, have defensive depth, health, some top notch offensive players? 2 years ago, who would of picked NJ to make the finals? If Price plays as he is right now, can beat any team in a series, dont you think?
