  1. Did not know that, but thought he would eventually be traded to a top contender anyways if Halifax sucked next year, but not till mid-season.
  2. Lil Carey not playing tomorrow vs the BBB. (I would be flipping a coin who starts) But should be an easy 4point weekend vs Sens-Sabres. Aves and (believe it or not) Blue Jackets should be two good games next week, I think John Davidson should be good for Columbus.
  3. Go with 7-d till Captain Josh is back?
  4. Fucale just keeps collecting wins, with his 10th in a row, in OT today; Q-record now up to 113-32-12. His GAA 2.25 and save % .909 both looking better all the time. (Just wonder how he would do with a shitty team in front of him? Maybe see that next year?) Reway with 1a after two.
  5. I really don't care who is playing with whom. Nice to good looking options though. I think every coach experiments with lineups when lose a game or two, part of coach job description I think. And lines are changed from period to period by every coach, so are very few lines that stick for long, more player pairs are kept together isn't it, than whole lines? Bottom line, a good player will do well with anyone, if given the icetime (a la Gallagher).
  6. Has something to do with Lipstick and a Pig.
  7. Is trivial entertainment and Murray, as I have said lots, makes me laugh almost every game. I am in a 'could give a rats ass' about some stats (I hated stats courses in university, so maybe biased), I simply am a fan in good teammates who give 100% ( a la Gorges). Hits, block shots, zero post whistle scrums around Price all frickin year and a 240lb cheerleader that is much more effective than a Parros wouldn't you say. Should he be playing near 20minutes; no, but I would resign as depth d-man in a heartbeat, he wont block Beaulieu-Tinordi from becoming what they will become.
  8. Well, de la Roses' team down 0-1 in playoffs, could be bit closer to trip to Hamilton?
  9. Well....was a consistent weekend, not sure can find any positives in that game. Dogs are a lock for a mid-April start to off-season.
  10. 4 weeks and 16 game to go, before important season begins. Lots of time to get playoff lineup sorted out.
  11. I agree and just 16 games till real Hab season begins. And Habs have more games played than most, so will have a tiny bit easier final month schedule. But, I don't think any East opponent strikes fear in most, especially with Habs ability to beat Bruins.
  12. Not sure anyone would complain if Weise drew in and Bourque was cheerleading. Tokarski did well and defensively Murray/Yemelin with 9 hits and Weaver 4 blocks. Tinordi responded perfectly for Eller hit and Torres wanted nothing to do with the big rookie and am sure put a smile on his fathers' face. But when DD, Gallagher and Pacioretty are all -3, you know it likely hasn't been a good night. Some dumb unadvanced stats, Habs are 28th in takeaways, 23rd in goals, 24th shots for, 19th shots against and 20th in faceoff %. But still 9th best team in NHL, in most important stat. I thought would get a point/two out of Phoenix-SJ games, not quite same team without Price, not that result would be totally different, just hope he is 100% healthy sooner than later for sure!
  13. OK, a PP. Vanek time to shine!
  14. Should be a good game. Has the webpage header been tweeked? Go Murray Go! If Bourque just tries, even just a bit, he can be 'OK'. odd one
  15. Negative criticism isn't any worse/better than unrealistic positive fanatics, but, just seems nice that 95%+ of us feel Vanek deal was very good and that is nice for a change, that's all..
  16. well empty netter 2-4, done deal.
  17. Tampa is beating Bruins...... is that good? Or would it be better for Habs if Bruins win? screw it, Go Tampa!
  18. Jeepers, they actually score on the PP and may make a game of it, Blunden scores and he is having another good game.
  19. They interviewed DD (dietz) and he is gone for year with 'lower body' injury. Knee-Groin-Ankle? Too bad and he had tough year. Dogs getting beat all over the ice again and 28-17 in shots. Mayer they said has made some very good saves. But worst PP in league and a PK which must be ranked quite low, is just no good at all.
  20. McCarron 1a through 2 and up to 32 points in 64 games. Gregoire with his 35th from Hudon (2a) Fucale stood on his head with a 12 save shutout.
  21. On another PP goal drought, 0-for -17 and counting.
  22. Tom the Bomb scores 3 seconds into next PP and down 2-1. Make it 3-1, Mayer arguing he had held puck but done deal.
  23. Dumont snipes a nice goal and Pateryn adds another assist. 1-0 Dogs with 3minutes left in 1st.(took Pateryn assist away gave to Blunden) 1-1 early in 2nd, gave up PP goal
  24. But, 99% of time it is eve more overheated spin to the Negative on almost every thread, so it is all good and any optimists are always welcome change to hear from. My expectations have ramped up a bit and I thought even before Vanek, that Habs could give any team a good series, if all the stars aligned.
  25. Adding a 8th year player who averages 70 points/year is an offensive boost to any team. Not sure what transform means, but an important goal here and there as well as success on a few extra PP attempts, can mean world of difference to a low scoring team.
