  1. Sure, why not. He has looked fine for the 1st 15 games anyways.
  2. I bet he will be at world juniors in 7 weeks, not sure if he needs to be sent to junior 1st to be eligible or simply can be loaned to hockey Canada?
  3. Will Schlemko's return help push Mete back to junior? Mete only had 8minutes yesterday.
  4. Obviously you mean 2008-11. According to Timmins 2008 would of taken Carlson; 2009 Krieder, but Mgmt had other ideas. And still think McCarron and Tinordi were taken mostly for their size and not skill, which you might do in later rounds but not the 1st.
  5. Petry is deaked out of his jockstrap way too often.
  6. 6th win in last 8 games Hudon put another 5 shots on net
  7. But Scherbak, Lernout and Jake Evans (maybe even Audette, but very long shot) all have potential and was no Lehkonen drafted in 2014.
  8. 13-2 in shots. Petry sucked that period, that is for sure.
  9. 5 wins in last 7 games sounds good. http://intentionaloffside.com/?p=44855
  10. Lots of American rookies in top 20 with 10 and only 4 Canadians.
  11. Of course not and hope his value is rising.
  12. Same age same team same league at 18 Lehkonen 7g 20pts in 33gms; but in his 17 yr old season same team same league he had 14g 30pts in 45gms. So, safe to say Ikonen is not even in same ballpark as Lehkonen was, which is my main point. I have heard Timmins say the exact same about several Scandinavians, who never panned out. (Lehkonen had mono one year I think?)
  13. No, but he is struggling big time for sure and comparing him to a fellow who didn't, is a stretch. Will be a 'fairer' playing field at world juniors, for sure.
  14. Is a given that he will play poorly at some point, they all do. It is only when he consistently gives up a softie or two in most games that you likely should jump off bandwagon.
  15. Yes, he played great vs Chicago and made several awesome saves that Montoya (or Price) wouldn't have made. I know I cant remember any of his other three starts, as they are ancient history. "as long as he plays like he did yesterday" Is what you said and we all know he wont every game and that is the big unknown. How will he rebound (or not) after being pulled or losing a couple games, is what I want to see before jumping on bandwagon.
  16. Agree and will wait and see on the goalie prodigy.
  17. Ikonen has 0g 2a in 20gms in Finn league and I think he has played his way into being a healthy scratch. Not even looking like a good 2nd round pick at the moment, let alone a hidden gem.
  18. Based on what? His 3-3-2, 3.53 gaa and 0.885% record in AHL this year maybe?
  19. That record is over 3 years and dosent include any poor outings or losing streaks, so that is still unchartered waters for the kid. Last time (2015-16) in hindsight many critics were very vocal about not getting an experienced goalie to help Condon carry the load and I see same situation at the moment and wouldn't say Lindgren is ready for 40+ more starts with Montoya as his back-up.
  20. Based on one game? Condon looked good for a week or two, but.
  21. Lindgren now 4-0-0 1.25 .960% in NHL starts.
