  1. The itch for Oct season opener yes, not more exhibition games (which Habs started playing in late Jan). World cup and Olympics crap just pile on to an almost never ending season, where to win cup you already need to play up to 110 reg season + pre-season games.
  2. Reilly and Robidas arnt as good as Subban. But, there seem to be at least 3 RH d-men that are. Who wants Subban, Price or any Hab to play in that BS tournament anyways?
  3. If switched Emelin with Beaulieu (sorry Stogey) and scratched the 2nd pick it might be more appealing and realistic for Oilers to give up basically Tkachuk or Dubois for Sergachev and Beaulieu. But, still seems like Habs are better off simply using the 9th pick.
  4. Reinhart is one smart and seemingly underrated player.
  5. Great to see Russia kick USA around the rink today (would be interesting to see USA team skate off before Russia gets its medals).
  6. Plekanec had 9g 29pts as rookie, missing 15games with knee injury Then had 5 or 6 straight 20+g seasons, before had a similar to last year with mid 50s point season in 11-12. 54pts cant be horrible can it, unless maybe if you are making $8m+ and defense isn't part of your game?
  7. Kind a like Sather with McDonagh, who said he didn't know who McDonagh was, scouts said ask Montreal to trade him for Gomez and...

    Windows 10

Rebooted from 10 back to 8.0 couple days ago and it upgraded to 8.1 by itself yesterday and again I have lost 'quote', imogi and paste/link function on this website, as I did when last upgraded to 8.1 last year; but I assume when upgrade to 10 I will get function back. Just couple odd side effects of 8.1.
  9. Free Agent in 2017- Galchenyuk, Beaulieu, Markov, Desharnais 2018- Price, Plekanec, Eller, Emelin Galchenyuk and Beaulieu likely getting good raises. Can Price avoid his injury trend and play a full season or two?
  10. Doughty is one good d-man (overrated maybe, but he would darn good in a Hab jersey). By the way, how did team Canada do with all those chumps on d?
  11. what did they say last time, just curious?
  12. Matteau must almost be one bad play from exile isn't he? And Hudon seems a better option of the two.
  13. Not sure who coach 'prefers', but am sure he prefers to win most of all.
  14. You ready to be pissed again when he is the 7th d-man again in September? Non-HabFans were not quite as pissed he hardly played last time. Too bad Price didn't play in Olympics and hope he skips this goofy September thing.
  15. I was more thinking of Therrien not giving him a shot if earns a spot, simply because he is Therrien.. Not, can he crack the roster or not or be a model citizen.
  16. Lots of a**holes in pro sports (I think list is darn near endless), but if they can play all can be forgiven or overlooked, as long as they produce and entertain the fans.
  17. As far as character goes, I can see that, but as far as not giving him a shot to prove he can play is what I assumed he might of meant.
  18. Gord Miller had interesting(I thought anyways) comments on Euro players like Reway, Shipachev, Sekac coming over to North America and needing to adapt. He mentioned Euro players tend to not use dump and chase as NHL players do, whereas they tend to either try and beat player one on one, or stop and curl once crossing blueline. Which he noted was a favourite Gretzky move, that dosent work as well anymore as NHL players backcheck aggressively moreso now, unlike 80s-90s. He said Panarin struggled until coaches got him to dump puck and use give and go with linemates more and he adapted well. Sekac never did and Reway is doing little due to tighter checking than normal (and he may be one of few offensive weapons on team). I cant say I agree or disagree, but seems plausible that may be partly why some Euro-stars flop in the NHL?
  19. Odd comment? Why do you say that?
  20. Sure and if all agreed it would be boring, but he simply flogged a dead horse over and over and the pessimism was just too much to stomach, so put him on ignore and blood pressure went back to normal.
  21. Sure, it was an older article and think the writer was one of 1st to crunch/compare league #s, but will try and dig it up again. I see link and website is gonzo, sorry. But it was an a write up done by one Gabriel Desjardins and if google him or NHL-equivalencies, are numerous write ups on it.
  22. Yup, constant string of pessimissism across every thread is always entertaining and just can never get enough of it...sure do miss that idiot.
