  1. He seems to be the best rookie forward for Dogs since who, would you say? Pacioretty only had 6 goals in 37 games as rookie pro. DD had 24 goals in first full AHL season. Gallagher had 10 goals in 36games.
  2. 9th for CH, 5:53 and 2-1 lead. CH shot and sounds like he did his best Gallagher impersonation, dug out puck and upstairs.
  3. Hmm.. seems heard exact same comments about DD last year. Underrated player for sure and I guess has been since junior. 6'2 210lbs skilled playmaking centre eh! Gee.... wonder which team is tossing one of those away? I wish we could have Stamkos..he might help a bit. BUT, highly unlikely Santa will put either in Bergy's stockin! I didn't think DD played poorly last game, why he wont shoot and passes when he is 5 feet in front of net, is hard to explain and baffling? Maybe he is just such a nice guy, he dosent like to embarrass goalies, tries to be the 'good teammate' and set up someone else for the glory?
  4. holy you would think he would of had a lucky bounce sooner or later in that time
  5. Yes Galchenyuk gets Ohhs and Ahhs dangling around the ice, but almost seems too anxious around the net, on one loose puck rebound, he jumped on it and quickly tossed it over net, whereas if he took his time he had time, Miller down and out and all top of net to flip it into to. On Pacioretty pass he almost looked like he tried a fancy between legs tip in and missed puck altogether? Just hope he isnt 2nd coming of Ales Hemsky! But galldarn he sure does look some slick (other than when Sbeisa really caught him with nice check). Dont get me wrong, he is doing very well and was 1st star of game for a reason.
  6. Sorry he didn't listen to Joe and exactly which goal was 27 in on, or did he help produce some offense and win? Yes he looks great stickhandling puck though. PP also looks great, cant score for crap and tons of near-goals don't help win often.
  7. (have no fear, I will turn on him, if team sucks and he has the players to do well, but no sign of suckage yet, so if aint broke....)
  8. Actually enough to by you, me, 30/31 all X-larges as well as jumbo bag of cheesy-poofs!!
  9. Therrien is a frickin genius.... lets Galchenyuk develop at wing till he knows exactly when to play crap out of him at centre and he shines. And plays lil Swiss Smurf 14:41 & Sekac 14:00 who both looked solid. I wouldn't get to excited about Beaulieu's game, but in limited minutes Therrien is doing well hiding him on the ice. What a coach, maybe he will never be fired and in 15 years will simply retire, or may be like ol Hab Red Berenson and keep coaching for 30+ years with same team!
  10. Not a bad stick save though. Not gonna start a Fire Waite thread quite yet.
  11. Yes only when demoted, don't want him getting depressed when called up, when he reads my posts.
  12. Sorry HR, didn't mean to get your hopes up! All in jest for Crazy Mike haters. Coach of year one year and bad with players 2 years later, fickle owners as well as Fans it seems.
  13. What idjiot would put Parros even on the ice, let alone top 6, so that is a non starter in argument. I think #8 is a catalyst for good things and I like 81-26 combo and maybe 27-67, but really the lines are always changing on all 30 teams and what works in Nov may not in Feb, so is a bit of chess game. I think 2 player combos stick much more often than all 3 players stickin together. So always is debatable who play with who on line, but just stab in dark. "Seems to look good on Paper" dosent always translate to ice.
  14. Prospects and picks don't get you Myers that is why. YOu got to give em Pacioretty, Galchenyuk or Gallagher. What you mean got to move DD Eller and Plekanec too funny? You living in galldarn lollipop land and think can just trade em as if they are hockey cards? LIke i said your Armchair GM license will be revoked and HabFan card need turning in, if you keep proposing this foolish stuff.
  15. He wasn't ever a puck mover, he is 5th in NHL hits + blocked shots; he is best +/- on Habs d playing 21:50 game, but do agree that his decision making isn't very good and he isn't fleet afoot. But, he unlikely is going anywhere anytime soon. And a bit that you may expect too much? He is what he is. Do you realize what a top 4d upgrade to play 22minutes/game would cost, would need to be a Boychuk, Weisniewski, Erhoff, Seabrook type? And how much higher than current 22nd in goal scoring would it make them, with weakened forward group but good top 4? 15th? Are top offensive teams led by the defense?
  16. You want Bourque, Gorges, Bouillon, Moan back and actually trade a top line forward (pacioretty is bout it) for a top d-man? When forward group already cant score much? You gonna lose your armchair GM status with moves like that. And don't you want short term deal vets who can be stuffed in pressbox, so Beaulieu/Tinordi can have a spot when ready to outplay them. Beaulieu was just called up and will see how lost he gets when the Sedins start going globetrotters on him, when Habs ice the puck for 1st time.
  17. Yes he was cut by them after a PTO wasn't it? Why bring him up, the dogs needed someone to fill Alex Henry's role and still are looking? Why so much fixation on bottom d-men, I don't get it? When a Jori Lehtera, Johnny Hockey, even Shattenkirk are outscoring every Hab player and Pacioretty is now 55th in scoring race. Don't you think lack of offense from all 4 forward lines is main weak point. PK is 10th in d-scoring, doing his thing and would surely be higher if his forwards could bury a few more pucks.
  18. I really don't care who plays with who, seems any one of hundred combos can work; 27-81-11, 8-81-26, 26-81-67, 27-11-8, etc Gallagher may end up taking more faceoffs than Galchenyuk? Does it matter any?
  19. No, Sabres want to just give him away, even though he playing 25+minutes/game.
