Methot better hit the gym if he wants to try and stop DD!
-
Gallagher/Galchenyuk have 7 shots and Petry with 4 hits
-
Who said we didn't need Max?
-
Condon with "Incredible save". (Goal changed to Hudon's)
-
shoot, am curious how he would stack up vs pros.. 4:34 to go and 1-0 dogs Bennett scores 1st time in 34 games they said. Goal changed to CH (19th) from Bennett-Carr.

Darn goalies??? Such a wildcard to pick. Yes I know why McCarron basically can have his own thread and vast majority see a Tough Power Forward, which is missing from Habs and to say any other gets many HabFans perturbed. But, till he stands out in AHL, I see him as a Ian Shultz/Conboy/Crisp/Nevins-type, with better pedigree, bit better hands and maybe skates better; which I still think will be his make/break quality. Can he be as good as a Brian Boyle, or just a John Scott (not quite that bad I doubt, but you know what I mean)?

Is Bozon playing today?
-
Yes hated the pick (so clouded judgement)! And like i say, my prognostication based on real scientific stuff.."feelings" that will bust big time. And most do, so odds are on my side to be correct and fairly safe to not be too positive on his future with Habs. (and large guys "seem" to bust even more often) Low expectations lets just say!
-
Because I dont care if he has a good playoffs, he should as an older junior, many overagers rip up the CHL but dont get drafted nor signed, simply because they are playing vs 16-17-18 year old kids and should dominate. If McCarron had of made team USA and ripped up world juniors or even did well vs his "peers", but he didnt even make the cut. He stunk it up last year, so at best he is a long shot to be an NHLer, so I dont have a "good feeling" he will amount to much at all!
-
Gregoire is Captain of his team, is ripping up Q playoffs leading his team and has been 1st star in numerous games. Reway is 1ppg game player in a mens league, not vs teenagers as McCarron is playing. Scherbak has all the tools of a super skilled hockey player. Why you not mention these guys and seem fixated on McCarron??
-
1/2 in jest, I like you want him to be a superstar, but seems many HabFans are fixated on him as some great hope, when numerous other prospects look to have much better chance to be an reg NHLer Why, not discuss Hudon, Reway, Scherbak, Gregoire, Lehkonen, Andrighetto, Thomas, who all have better chance as adding offense to future Hab roster, not a lumbering bottom six grinder.
-
Not bad at all, not near as good as Andrighetto nor Thomas's production as a junior, but if you want to get hopes up simply because he is 6'13" 300lbs, fly at er.
-
I heard Mike Duffy might be taking Stone's slot on top line (he heard per diems were better in NHL and pulled a few strings).
-
(Off-topic; Ben Bishop sucked in his 1st ever NHL playoff start)
-
Maybe they do... because simply look to Max to carry the ball and sit back a bit, be more defensive?
-
BUT...Habs are 4-0 and scoring more since Max went down. So maybe no need to rush him back?
-
Agree would like to keep Petry, but I think/contend he is just a rental and we should forget about trying to keep him. Got Pateryn & Tinordi who would need to pass through waivers to be sent to AHL and are much much cheaper options. And I thought majority of HabFans were clamoring for a top 6 winger upgrade as most important fix needed? Cant sign Petry and upgrade top six also, even with some wheeling and dealing of current contracts seems a very remote possibility.

will need dlbalr to delete 2nd game day thread

Will Pacioretty or/and Stone play? From practice yesterday, Habs forwards were 67-51-21 11-14-27 25-81-22 8-17-32 No change expected on back end after well played game by most. With same effort and bit more discipline the Habs should be easy favourite to win game. But just hope is as 'entertaining' as game #1. I would expect Sens to try and be as physical as possible in 1st period and how will Habs respond? GHG

Scherbak 1a in a 5-3 loss. Down 2-1 in series now. Score not indicative of game, Everett outshot 36-19 Portland went up 5-0 lead, scoring on both "lazy" tripping penalties by Scherbak. They have gone to having the two Russians (Nikolishin-Scherbak) on same line, but just 1 late meaningless goal for them.
-
McCarron 2g 2a today, 3rd star. 11pts in 9gms.
-
You know who, a cheaper bigger better young centre...lots of them available in lollypopland. And why not have 1/2 of capspace spent on defense, don't need more offense up front.
-
McCarron (5th) up 4-0 in 2nd and up 2-1 in series. Fucale 2g on 24 shots, up 4-2 game & series almost over and should win series 4-0.
-
If Stone is out for series, just would be a shame, hope he is back next game but sounds doubtful. Sens arnt good enough to lose him and still be much of opponent (even with him they are lesser team). If he was knocked out with clean hit, whole different story, but a Billy Smith-type slash is just cheapshot on a clean player, who hardly took a penalty his whole time in WHL & AHL (all of 14 PIMs this year).
-
Innocuous? R u f'in kidding? If was Pacioretty had been slashed like that, would be a mob around Sens hotel right now!
