Few would say Genius at Work behind the bench, but how bout doing 'OK' and not a total moron. I had very low expectations when he was hired, but you cant argue with success and every coach's decision can be picked apart in hindsight. And for all the 'over the top' cry for his head on a platter after every unpopular choice, he really deserves some credit for steering ship in right direction. Like Bouillon playing a ton; why not, he is doing OK (and team is winning) and someone has to fill Gorges minutes and what other option is there? Tinordi-Beaulieu cant be expected to play 20+minutes and Murray also is exposed when he plays 18+minutes, so it is either Frankie (who for all the whining about him, he does fine or at leas t not 'Horrible' as some keep repeating) or Weaver, who is looking like he could manage the icetime for next couple weeks till Gorges is back.

Maybe Habs have a couple too many d-prospects which his agent might see as a negative? I also imagine he is aware of his countryman Nygren's comments? So I wouldn't get too excited till pen hits paper and even then most free agents are flops (as far as NHL goes).

Should be a crappy exhibition quality game, hope the kids get to play lots, I would scratch Markov/Gionta and anyone who is nursing minor injuries. 3 easily winnable games this week, don't expect any entertaining ones, especially with Habs likely playing down to competition and squeeking out a win or 2 in the 3 games.

A lot of good performances vs Bruins and just another entertaining and close game. Would love to see Gallagher-Galchenyuk light up Sabres, play Murray on the PP, stuck him in the slot! And I guess is another homecoming for Vanek, so he may be up for this one. Weaver-Yemelin with just sweet hits and seemed to instantly drop the Bruin IQ to that of a schoolyard bully who had sand kicked in his face. Maybe Bruin seeming hatred of Habs is what allows Habs to beat them so often, 3 of 4 game this year and smoked em last year also if I recall correctly, please please let them meet in 2nd round.

Not sure which cheap shot I liked best. Markov standing up to Thorton mugging and then laughing at him, Weaver demolition of some Bruin or the opening act by Yemelin in a classic hipcheck. I hope these 2 meet again in playoffs. The Bruins and their childish tantums are just too funny to watch.

Because none were of penalty quality and doubt Chara will draw Murray into a fight, as Chara wont run over or attack a Gallagher, Galchenyuk or the like. But might be a good one if does happen. But I wouldn't put my $$ on Murray.
