Habs are 12-9-1 vs Western teams, which would equate to a 93.2 point season just vs West.
So sure, many eastern teams not the strongest, but Habs simply arnt doing bad at all (other than overall offense).
Really looking forward to some good games this week, Kings one may be low scoring or tight, but solid team and good 'test'.
I guess 4 of 8 points on trip would be as much as should be expected?
Beaulieu has had 2 good games after several sub-par ones and likely wont be Hamilton too long.
Andrighetto & Pateryn played very well again today, would like to see them get a look sometime in March.
Gregoire (34th) get 2g 1a today.
Now to see if Bozon scores his 34th tonight (he isn't playing?)? Raiders aint too strong team, so likely score.
It helps to have a super playmaker, like last night when Bozon rips a 1 timer on PP, gift wrapped by Sam Reinhart (but Bozon did well even when Reinhart was away).
Defensive side of game is improved for Habs this year.
Should be a nice new rookie crop in Hamilton next fall with; Bozon, Thrower, Crisp, Nevins, Vail, Hudon, Bennett and maybe a Swede or 2 possibly suiting up?
The only thing I would disagree with is his mobility isn't what it once was and will not improve over next few years.
But I agree with dlbalr and slim chance Markov is going anywhere.
And all the 'intangibles' his presence would bring to youngsters and as a career Hab wanting to retire a Hab, should be considered.
It is not that he isn't have a fine year and playing 25+minutes/game, but what is the term he will accept or is looking for?
I think all would quickly offer him a 1 year deal, most would likely offer him a 2 year deal, but 3 years just seems like 1 too many.
But, if Ducks (Vatanen-young RH d-man) or some other team offers up a blue chip prospect or 'good' stuff, got to consider offers.
